Today’s Letter is not directed toward any individual, but to the organized religious system of the evangelical church that has, in rebellion, set aside the many end-time teachings of Christ in order to advance its own traditions of men that make God’s word of no effect. But who pays attention?
You say you’re a Christian church? You say you believe God’s word? You agree that, Jesus is Lord and Savior? You preach against partiality as God taught? You honor Jesus more than men? You’re led by God’s word in Christ and His Holy Spirit? You would be willing to die for Jesus? You’d never deny Jesus’ teachings? You believe Jesus said “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me” (John 14:6)? Yes? You affirm all that?
Have you likewise been taught to recognize and spiritually discern the warnings of Jesus and His Holy Spirit of things, people and events that would identify the signs of the end-times? Have you discerned the warning from the Holy Spirit saying “For the time will come when they [people in Christian churches] will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables” (2 Tim. 4:3–4)? [My emphasis] Do you know that the fulfillment of that warning is now fully upon the church? And do you know truth from fables, especially, end-time fables? Because those end-time fables are Satan’s deceptions.
There are many end-time fables that have replaced God’s truths, capturing unsuspecting hearts. And in most cases fables are advanced by pastors who themselves have been overcome by them because they sustain their credentials, income and the traditions of men that make God’s word of no effect, Mark 7:13. Darby’s and Scofield’s Dispensationalism is the fable that’s replaced many end-times truths, but conveying that truth to hearts that have been conditioned “according to their own desires, because they have itching ears” is very difficult. The dictionary says that a fable is a story not founded on fact. Dispensationalism is not founded on fact, but assumptions, conjecture and wishful thinking which attends the pre-trib rapture and belief that unbelieving Jews of Israel are still God’s chosen people. For both, you need to believe what Jesus said and not what you’ve been told to believe by a religion overcome by Darby’s and Scofield’s dispensational epiphany.
After last week’s Friday Letter was posted, I received a note saying, “Reading your Friday letter one would definitely say you were anti-Semitic.” That’s unfortunate, but not surprising given the rebellion of the large majority of the evangelical church. Here’s why it’s not surprising that some would label me as anti-Semitic: on every point I was teaching the words and testimony of God’s Son. I’m not the one who justly called unbelieving Jews hypocrites and worse at Matt. 23:5–36, it was Jesus Himself! I’m not the one who said unbelieving Jews are “a synagogue of Satan”, it was Jesus Himself, the Messiah, whom unbelieving Jews rejected! So, if I’m anti-Semitic, then what do you call Jesus Christ?! Weigh your words very carefully, because Jesus is listening!
So, why does your organized dispensational religious system and pastors disown Christ’s words that unbelieving Jews of Israel are “a synagogue of Satan”, Rev. 2:9 and Rev. 3:9 and falsely say they’re God’s chosen people, in defiance that true believers, “are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy” (1 Peter 2:9–10)? [My emphasis] You defy God! God divorced rebellious, idolatrous, unbelieving Jews of Israel, Jer. 3:8! Yet, you find unity with them and their unbelief! Believers live by the New Covenant. How can you in faith to Jesus find the capacity for solidarity and unity with a people Jesus called “a synagogue of Satan”? It’s absolutely shameful and anti-Christ! The testimony of Jesus is the truth, not dispensational lies, assumptions and conjecture that reject His testimony!
And why won’t you acknowledge and teach, O rebellious religious establishment that the Jews God accepts as His Jews, are true born again believing Christians, and not unbelieving Jews of Israel? “For he is not a Jew who is one outwardly, nor is circumcision that which is outward in the flesh; but he is a Jew who is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the Spirit, not in the letter; whose praise is not from men but from God” (Rom. 2:28–29). And God clearly said about unbelieving Jews of Israel that “they also, if they do not continue in unbelief, will be grafted in, for God is able to graft them in again” (Rom. 11:23). Yet, in utter rebellion you find favor, unity and solidarity with an unbelieving people God said are “a synagogue of Satan”!
Salvation by faith in Jesus came, first, to the Jews, but the Jews as a nation vehemently rejected Jesus, repeatedly. They rejected Him to the point that when Jesus instructed His disciples about preaching His salvation, He told His disciples “And whoever will not receive you nor hear you, when you depart from there, shake off the dust under your feet as a testimony against them. Assuredly, I say to you, it will be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment than for that city!” (Mark 6:11). To this very day the Jews of Israel as a nation reject Jesus, though they know exactly who He is and have heard the gospel preached. And Jesus tells His followers to “shake off the dust under your feet as a testimony against them” or anyone who will not receive the truth. Yet, you cater to and find unity with the very people who reject Jesus! You say you’re a Christian and disciple of Jesus? Finding unity and solidarity with unbelieving Jews of Israel proves only the religious establishment’s rebellion against the Lord Jesus Christ.
There’s a popular, highly repetitive refrain, that’s sung in evangelical churches called “I am a friend of God”. It’s sung over and over and over, as though the people are trying to convince themselves that they really are “a friend of God”. But do you know, O religious establishment, that those are conditional words? Because Jesus said “You are My friends if you do whatever I command you” (John 15:14). And when Jesus said unbelieving Jews of Israel are “a synagogue of Satan”, He expects His born again believers to actually believe and follow His example. But the rebellious church removed the conditional fact of being a friend of God from the truth. You say you’re a friend of God? Then why don’t you agree with our Lord and Master Jesus Christ? You’ve been overcome by spirits of rebellion against Jesus and traditions that tickle your ears.
Reflecting directly on God’s divorce of Israel, have you no righteous holy fear of God who said to post-Calvary believers, “Therefore consider the goodness and severity of God: on those who fell, [unbelieving Jews] severity; but toward you, goodness, if you continue in His goodness. [the condition] Otherwise you also will be cut off” (Rom. 11:22)? Your faith can’t just give lip service to being a true Christian, you have to live that truth and new birth reality in Christ. Have you not read God’s command to, “have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them” (Eph. 5:11)? Unbelieving Jews produce unfruitful works of darkness. Have you not read that God said to true believers “Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God” (James 4:4)? In this very case, many believers are making themselves enemies of God.
In like manner Darby’s and Scofield’s dispensational theology has poisoned God’s end-time word in Christ regarding the resurrection rapture. They teach the ear-tickling pre-trib rapture in rejection of Christ saying that He gathers His elect, which is the rapture, “Immediately after the tribulation” (Matt. 24:29–31)). But if you don’t have personal knowledge, faith and belief in the testimony of Jesus you’re in great trouble, for Jesus said “But he who endures to the end shall be saved” (Matt. 24:13). But the rebellious dispensational religious system has foisted its words and traditions above the words of God and His Christ, because they loved not the truth, but delighted in fables that secure their jobs, their credentials and other benefits while garnering the high praise of men. In like manner, the large majority of ancient Israel rebelled at the edge of Canaan when they were about to possess their promised inheritance, but that unbelieving rebellious majority perished outside their Promised Land. And what’s developing now will prove to be the mirror image of what happened then. How do I know this? Because God warned of it, Eccl. 1:9–11.
Jesus said He gathers His elect “Immediately after the tribulation”, but the rebellious religious establishment decided that Jesus wasn’t speaking to the would-be church, but only to the Jews. That’s a manufactured rebellious lie! The entire ministry of Jesus was to the Jews of Israel, not just that which dealt with His gathering of His elect. And about the elect, O rebellious religious establishment, exactly who are Jesus’ elect? Do you not know, or is it that you simply refuse to believe the truth that, as the New Covenant repeatedly reveals, true believers are Christ’s elect? Which means that Christ gathers believers, not before the seven-year tribulation, but in the truth of God in Christ “Immediately after the tribulation”. Yet, you disbelieve. Don’t you know or care about what God does with unbelief? God said ancient Israel is our example. Read Num. 13, 14. Then consider: “Now all these things happened to them as examples, and they were written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the ages have come” (1 Cor. 10:11). Unbelief is deadly.
Christian cults were birthed in the mid-19th Century: Jehovah’s Witness, Mormonism, Unitarian Universalism and Christian Science, among others. Satan, knowing the time of the end was near, created spiritual havoc. It’s no surprise then that Darby (1800–1882) had his epiphany of the pre-trib rapture also in the 19th Century. And by the time Scofield published his first Bible in 1909 with revisions in 1917, many evangelical religious establishments refused returning to the truth, being sold to Darby’s and Scofield’s Dispensationalism. Evil spirits created many fables in the 19th Century and millions who disliked the truth of God’s end-time word turned to those fables for reprieve. But ministers like myself who hold to the testimony of Jesus are unjustly labeled anti-Semitic by those who don’t want God’s word to have authority over them and their beliefs. The majority of professing believers are perfectly content believing exactly what they’re told to believe by pastors and teachers trained in the dispensational rebellion to God’s end-time word. But who pays attention? Indeed, the cares of this life and traditions of men distract millions.
