“But the end of all things is at hand; therefore be serious and watchful in your prayers. And above all things have fervent love for one another, for love will cover a multitude of sins…If anyone speaks, let him speak as the oracles of God. If anyone ministers, let him do it as with the ability which God supplies, that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belong the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen” (1 Peter 4:7–11).
If God, through Peter, said the end of all things was at hand two thousand years ago, how much more is that true of our evil day? Their spiritual eyes, ears and hearts newly opened to the truth and light of Christ, the apostles and true believers of two millennia past, recognized and were alert to the unbelief, the deceptions, and evils, both in the world and in organized religion.
Since then, humanity has increasingly digressed toward self-destruction and the earthly-minded do not discern it, but aid Satan’s warring mission to steal, kill and to destroy (John 10:10). The result – “But I fear, lest somehow, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, so your minds may be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ” (2 Cor. 11:3). How very true!
You need to understand that you live in a church age when “the simplicity that is in Christ” has been largely corrupted by organized corporate church leaders, theologians and pastors interested more in the praise of men than praise from God. Numerous passages for the governance of the church, and truth, are made irrelevant. The result – the spirit of antichrist is in the church.
Many evangelical pastors and theologians say we must love and honor Christ and His teachings. But when it comes to the cardinal doctrine of the resurrection rapture and gathering of the elect “Immediately after the tribulation” (Matt. 24:29–31) these same leaders, by silence, deny Jesus. They’re two-faced. They mock portions of the gospel, not truly believing the testimony of Jesus.
What I teach and write I do because I love you in Christ. I love Christ and you enough to declare to you the truth, to warn you against deceptions, lies and what’s just ahead, though I know that’s highly unpopular and even disallowed in much of the church. I use the talent God gave me to speak the oracles of God as disclosed in His Word. I minister as God supplies, that Christ, indeed, may be glorified, who alone is worthy of all praise, glory and honor.
We must be willing and prepared to lose all for God’s Son. Love of Christ and His Word must come before family, friends, pastors and theologians. If not, one can’t be Christ’s. I’ve taught end-time truths according to Jesus’ teachings that present-day saints must endure Antichrist’s seven-year tribulation, and be like the wise virgins (Matt. 25:1–13), prepared to endure to the end, for it was Jesus who said, “But he who endures to the end shall be saved” (Matt. 24:13).
Thank you for your emails and phone calls regarding the possibility of TheFridayLetter.com resting from writing. By God’s grace and direction I will continue writing the Letter, but probably in a shorter format. God bless you.
Marlin J. Yoder
Thanks again for all your godly efforts to warn so many about so much! I especially am grateful to your writing the Friday Letter because it opened my eyes to the fact that there are others who believe the Word of God to be just that, The Word of God not to be altered, rejected, or neglected. We too believe that Jesus said what He meant and meant what He said and that all His teachings are to be observed. We believe if all things Jesus taught was observed and taught, there would not be as much approval for the false teaching and false messages that have flooded over the shores of this once great nation under God. I am looking forward to whatever you may choose to share with those of us that you believe to be important and critical to our serving the Lord in these last days. May your words of encouragement continue to help sustain all of those and us who believe in the gospel of enduring to the end. And according to Jesus, this gospel, the gospel of enduring to the end will be preached and then the end will come. Whether by men or by angels, this gospel message will be preached in all the world before the end comes, and that is according to Jesus. And by the way, are you teaching and or preaching anywhere in the Virginia, Maryland, North or South Carolina area any time in the future. We are from the Lake Anna Virginia area and would be extremely blessed I am sure to hear you speak and share what the Lord has and is continuing to do with what time remains for you here upon planet earth. In Him Always, Brother Mike…
