When “the Devil is come down”

Friday, February 15, 2019

That the world is now in its last generation of this present age is an indisputable biblical truth. And what we Christians do to prepare for it, or not, reveals the measure of our faith in Christ. Real faith will prepare, just as Noah by faith prepared, and as Joseph in ancient Egypt by faith prepared, and as Moses by faith prepared the people for their exodus from Egypt.

Unbelief, however, does not believe the apocalypse will attend God’s people, and does nothing to prepare for that holocaust. But true faith compels action, it’s “the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen” (Heb. 11:1). True faith motivates one to act and to prepare for that which is yet unseen, both in this world and the one to come.

Transhumanism, the corruption of human DNA, fallen angels, and documented alien manifestations, has prepared the world for “as the days of Noah were” (Matt. 24:36). Yet, the full manifestation of the days of Noah remain to be fulfilled. But the time is near when Satan and his angels will be cast out of heaven, permanently, and will create immeasurable chaos. That time will consist of 3 1/2 years of unprecedented terror for those unprepared, “men’s hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth” (Luke 21:26).

Jesus said of the time immediately after Satan and his fallen angel’s are permanently cast out of heaven, that, “then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be. And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect’s sake those days will be shortened” (Matt. 24:21–22). The horror and dread that befalls “the inhabitants of the earth and the sea!” (Rev. 12:12), will be the full impact and manifestation of the days of Noah and the return of fallen angels and their Nephilim.

English theologian, George H. Pember, in his 1876 book Earth’s Earliest Ages makes this critical observation: “In the twelfth chapter of the Apocalypse it is plainly announced that, before the development of Antichrist and the unparalleled woes of the end, Satan and his angels will be driven out of heaven, swept down from their aerial abodes, and confined to the narrow bounds of earth. Then will all the Nephilim, who are yet at liberty, be among men, and will quickly make them feel the meaning of that awful utterance, ‘Woe to the inhabitants of the earth and of the sea! for the Devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time’. Then, not merely the demons, but the great Angels of Darkness, the Principalities, the Powers, and the World-rulers, maddened by the thought that they have lost their fair realms for ever, and that the Lord is at hand to complete their destruction, will in their rage break through every restraint, and recklessly gratify their own evil desires. And so, in the most appalling sense, the earth will again become corrupt and filled with violence.”

Dear saints, just as God’s ancient people at the edge of Canaan were faced with the dread of giants and raging Nephilim, so too, we will be right here on earth to witness the same. Do not allow false teachers to teach you otherwise, to compel you to disbelieve the testimony of Jesus Christ who said, “See, I have told you beforehand” (Matt. 24:25). Make good use of what little time is left to prepare yourself and loved ones, when “the devil is come down to you”…

“Hope deferred makes…”

Friday, February 8, 2019

Since the early 1970’s, many pastors, teachers and laypersons alike in the Western Church warned of an “imminent” pre-trib rapture. I remember. I was there. So were millions like me. That whole narrative was later supercharged when Dr. Tim LaHaye and Jerry B. Jenkins began printing their Left Behind books which were later made into a movie series, all total fabrications.

The end-times and talk of being rapture-ready were the thrust of thousands of sermon series all across America. Writing a 1/17/2019 Charisma article, Pastor Greg Laurie remembers it also, saying, “When I first became a Christian back in 1970, lots of people were talking about the return of Jesus Christ. The top selling book of that entire decade was the Late Great Planet Earth, by Hal Lindsey, which spoke in depth about Bible prophecy and the signs of the times.”

Laurie continued, “Driving around the roads and freeways, you would see bumper stickers and slogans like ‘Maranatha,’ ‘Jesus is coming’ and ‘In case of rapture, this car will be unmanned.’ There was a sense of expectancy among so many of us that we could be the generation that would see the return of the Lord.” That was 49 years ago! What happened? Where’s the fervor for the end-times? Here’s what happened: “Hope deferred makes the heart sick” (Prov. 13:12).

Today, very often an end-time discussion of the Lord’s return goes absolutely nowhere before it even gets started, citing the subject’s controversial nature. But who’s made it so are those who taught a false pre-trib narrative for decades rather than preparing God’s people in the truths of Christ’s post-trib rapture. Today the Church is virtually silent on the end-times. Why? Because their pre-trib rapture hope proved false! And it will continue proving false, and it will continue creating in its wake many more spiritually heart-sick just like Prov. 13:12 promises. The false pre-trib rapture has left many people heart-sick, ignorant and eschatologically disillusioned.

People were falsely promised an “imminent” pre-trib rapture. Now, Pastor Greg Laurie wrote an article entitled “Why the Rapture Hasn’t Happened (Yet)” wherein he basically back-peddles the pre-trib rapture, saying, “The Bible is the one book that dares to predict the future. Not once, not twice, but hundreds of times. We can look back now and see that many of those prophecies have already been fulfilled–but not all of them. Some remain to be fulfilled”. Where’s the imminence in that statement? It’s gone as it should be! And here’s why: many biblical prophecies and signs must be fulfilled BEFORE Jesus Christ can return. Why? Because Jesus Christ told us so!

Today, many quote “But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only” (Matt. 24:36) as if that’s an all-sufficient catch-all to stop the discussion. But it’s not, because Jesus and His Spirit had much more to say on the subject that you and I might be knowledgeable of the truth and not be taken captive by silence or prejudiced escapist plans.

God said, “But concerning the times and the seasons, brethren, you have no need that I should write to you. For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night. For when they say, ‘Peace and safety!’ then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape. But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief. You are all sons of light and sons of the day. We are not of the night nor of the darkness” (1 Thess. 5:1–5). [Emphasis added]

The truths of Jesus Christ do NOT create “Hope deferred [that] makes the heart sick”. The truths of Christ inform us, and if believed by faith, strengthen and quicken the heart to love and receive with thanksgiving all that He told us about the times of the end and His post-tribulation gathering of His elect saints, Matt. 24:29–31. Otherwise one remains in the darkness of unbelief.

God wants us to know all we can know about the Lord’s return and to be prepared to endure to the end just as Jesus taught. But silencing the critical information God has given us through His Son and Holy Spirit concerning the time of the end will indeed guarantee the ignorance of truth, and that Day will in fact overtake many self-professing Christians as a thief as they grope in the darkness of unbelief, for they’ve been taught to disregard the end-time teachings of Christ. As a result “many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another” (Matt. 24:10).

If the evangelical church does not reverse its false pre-trib narrative, and begins teaching and equipping people in Christ’s end-time teachings, it will have the eternal blood of many on its hands, because many have already turned, heart-sick, away from the truth. They’ve waited 20, 30, 40 and 50 years for the “imminent” pre-trib rapture promise, but it hasn’t occurred, nor will it. The resurrection rapture will occur “at the last day” just as Jesus taught, and not before!

Regarding the failure of the pre-trib rapture promise, many say in their hearts, “Where is the promise of His coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation” (2 Peter 3:4). “Hope deferred” has made many heart-sick as they’ve believed a false promise, but each of those false teachers will be held accountable before God.

Might “Hope deferred” actually account for the alarming increase of suicides among pastors? Just last week yet another lead pastor of a mega-church committed suicide. As reported by the Christian Post: “After struggle with mental illness, megachurch pastor Jim Howard fatally shoots himself”. Many diagnose this as a mental illness, but it’s not. It’s one’s choice to permanently go AWOL, a personal choice to murder, yes, self-murder. But “no murderer has eternal life abiding in him” (1 John 3:15). True love for Christ helps us to be “transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God” (Rom. 12:2).

Last week, the New York Post had this headline: “New York dietitian, 27, hangs herself after posting suicide note”. In her note, which I believe speaks even for professing Christians and unbelievers who commit suicide, she said, “I have accepted hope is nothing more than delayed disappointment…” Her heartbreaking note validates God’s truth that “Hope deferred makes the heart sick” (Prov. 13:12). Accidental physical head trauma can cause mental illness, but the heart, one’s inward soul and spirit, being made hopelessly sick, can and does lead to suicide.

We dare not doubt the faithfulness and inerrancy of God’s Word: “You [God in Christ] will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You. Trust in the Lord forever, for in YAH, the Lord, is everlasting strength” (Isa. 26:3–4); and surely “the kingdom of God is…righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit” (Rom. 14:17), proving that “God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind” (2 Tim. 1:7).

Israel’s Third Jewish temple

Friday, February 1, 2019

John, the revelator, said, “Then I was given a reed like a measuring rod. And the angel stood, saying, ‘Rise and measure the temple of God, the altar, and those who worship there. But leave out the court which is outside the temple, and do not measure it, for it has been given to the Gentiles. And they will tread the holy city underfoot for forty-two months’” (Rev. 11:1–2).

The “temple of God” in the above passage is the soon-to-be built third Jewish temple in which Orthodox Jews will again worship as prescribed under the Mosaic Law. Israel has yearned for it since her rebirth of May 14,1948, and the time has come for this prophetic event to be fulfilled. Its rebuilding will likely result from the soon-coming destruction of Damascus, Syria (Isa. 17:1), followed by Antichrist’s peace “covenant with many” (Dan. 9:27).

America is indisputably involved in end-time events as God has ascended Donald Trump to the presidency of the United States, the most powerful nation on earth (though warring, wicked and generally unbelieving) to defend and aid Israel in her unique time and purpose. Presidents before Trump, while knowing it was the right thing to do, did not, for fear of reprisals by Islamic states and the broader global community, declare Jerusalem the capital city of Israel. President Donald Trump did that on December 6, 2017. And the nations rage!

President Trump is intimately tied to Israel. His son-in-law, Jared Kushner, is not only his chief advisor, but is an Orthodox Jew. And President Trump’s daughter, Ivanka, has converted from Christianity to Judaism. All the political jockeying, anger, strife, government shutdown, illegal immigration, and vitriol among many other wranglings commanding the world’s attention are but distractions from what’s spiritually occurring behind the scenes: the imminent “covenant with many” (Dan. 9:27) which will promote and allow the building of Israel’s third temple.

When Israel’s third temple is active, it will begin the 42-month ministry of God’s two witnesses “and they will prophesy one thousand two hundred and sixty days, clothed in sackcloth…And if anyone wants to harm them, fire proceeds from their mouth and devours their enemies. And if anyone wants to harm them, he must be killed in this manner. These have power to shut heaven, so that no rain falls in the days of their prophecy; and they have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to strike the earth with all plagues, as often as they desire” (Rev. 11:3, 5–6). Their ministry will occur in the first half, or 3 1/2 years, or 42 months, of the seven-year tribulation.

During those first 3 1/2 years of tribulation, Israel, and the world, will see miracles and plagues unleashed straight from the pages of Scripture as it was in ancient Egypt. During this time “One hundred and forty-four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel were sealed” (Rev. 7:4).

These two witnesses will prophecy Christ, and call people to repentance, and to place their faith in Jesus, for there is no other name given under heaven by which men must be saved. In the first 3 1/2 years of the tribulation many unbelieving Jews will turn to faith in Christ. Also during this time God will send “another angel flying in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach to those who dwell on the earth – to every nation, tribe, tongue, and people – saying with a loud voice, ‘Fear God and give glory to Him, for the hour of His judgment has come; and worship Him who made heaven and earth, the sea and springs of water’” (Rev. 14:6–7).

“And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come” (Matt. 24:14). That angel will indeed complete what the Church did not, and his preaching will agree with “the testimony of Jesus Christ” (Rev. 1:9), unlike much of the traditional end-time preaching by many today caught in the snares of their own doctrines that not only disagree with, but utterly silence the testimony of Jesus Christ.

I’m reminded of a Christian theologian who teaches at a prominent Christian university, who, while denouncing the post-tribulation rapture, boldly said to 15,000 students; “I can’t conceive of a God who would drag his bride through the mud of the tribulation to then turn around and marry her!” But that theologian simply can’t conceive of the God whose biblical record it is to lead His people through the furnace of trial and tribulation! And that same God promised that “the people who know their God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits” (Dan. 11:32)!

I don’t know about you, but I want to be one of those “who know their God, and carry out great exploits” for Christ, “my Rock, my Fortress, and my Deliverer” (2 Sam. 22:2)! I love and defend the testimony of Jesus Christ who said “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God” (Matt. 4:4). Much that “proceeds from the mouth of God” instructs us for the end-times, but many, due to church traditions have been taught to disregard it.

It is not those who merely say they believe in Jesus and hold to a convenient, escapist, pre-trib rapture narrative approved by the flesh who know their God, but it’s those having a tested, tried and proven faith in Christ and His testimony of the end-times that have a knowledge of, a vision for, and are prepared for many apocalyptic events who will endure to the end as Jesus taught. In the love of Jesus Christ, I implore you to believe and personally apply Christ’s teachings.

The Trump / Kushner / Israel alliance will be highly influential in the Israeli / Palestinian peace process. Another portion of that “covenant with many” will include the physical division of the land of Israel, (also mandated by Pope Francis) and God has decreed it, saying, “They have also divided up My land” (Joel 3:2c) which brings the divine judgment of God who said “I will also gather all nations, and bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat; and I will enter into judgment with them there on account of My people, My heritage Israel” (Joel 3:2a).

Expect the covenant with many to be made in the spring, and formalized by the son of perdition in the fall of either 2019, 2020 or at the latest 2021. Then seven years later in the fall season “at the time of harvest” (Matt. 13:30), Christ gathers His elect saints in the resurrection rapture.

Believe that Christ “must remain in heaven until the time comes for God to restore everything” (Acts 3:21 NIV), which occurs “Immediately after the tribulation” (Matt. 24:29–31); only then “the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first” (1 Thess. 4:16); at “the first resurrection” (Rev. 20:4–6); “at the last day” (John 6:40, 44, 54); “at the last trumpet” (1 Cor. 15:51–52); when “The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever!” (Rev. 11:15). Believe God and Be Prepared

Friday, January 25, 2019

Recently I had a very brief encounter with another believer on several points of our common faith. We spoke of challenges in business, and the dreadful political climate of our day among other things. Near the end of our conversation the comment was made, “Unfortunately, things will get much worse before they get better”, to which I responded with a heartfelt, “Amen!”

I responded to that comment by quoting Dan. 7:21 and Rev. 13:7, wherein the ancient prophet and apostle both bore witness to the same thing, saying, “It was granted to him [Antichrist] to make war with the saints and to overcome them”, which garnered this reply: “Well, I have faith in my Baptist pre-trib theology and will always hold to it!” I was saddened, for that person had been taken captive to an anti-Christ doctrine. I could only pray as we went our separate ways.

With great sadness I realize that many Christians value more their indoctrination to traditions and doctrines than God’s Word, especially that of the testimony of Jesus Christ which has been under attack for two millennia. But, as on all points of salvation, Jesus was not silent on the end-times.

In the first sermon of the New Covenant God said through Peter by the Holy Spirit, “Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, and that He may send Jesus Christ, who was preached to you beforehand, whom heaven must receive until the times of restoration of all things, which God has spoken by the mouth of all His holy prophets since the world began” (Acts 3:19–21).

Clearly, God’s Spirit tells us when Christ “will descend from heaven” (1 Thess. 4:16) to gather His elect saints at the rapture; and it occurs at “the times of restoration of all things”, which does not occur until “Immediately after the tribulation” (Matt. 24:29–31). It’s clear, Christians will not be raptured before the tribulation, nor at its mid-point, nor prior to God’s wrath upon the wicked in the great tribulation, but at “the restoration of all things”, and not before.

Beginning with Christ’s Olivet Discourse of the end-times, we gain much understanding from the example of ancient Israel whose false teachers and prophets didn’t believe God and led the people astray at the edge of Canaan when they were about to inherit their Promised Land.

Consider: would Israel have left Egypt had they known they’d become trapped between the Red Sea and Pharaoh’s army pursuing them? No. And once across the Red Sea, and having received the Law, would they have journeyed to Canaan knowing they would face terrifying giants? No. Not except for Moses, Joshua and Caleb who believed God. Israel’s unbelief was proven when “they said to one another, ‘Let us select a leader and return to Egypt’” (Num. 14:4); and “in their hearts they turned back to Egypt” (Acts 7:39), being examples to us of the seven-year tribulation.

“But if the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet, and the people are not warned, and the sword comes and takes any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood I will require at the watchman’s hand” (Ezek. 33:6). And God reminds us that “there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies” (2 Peter 2:1). So, silence is equally culpable.

The pre-trib rapture lie does not demonstrate love for God or fellowman, but contempt for both. In another event of false teaching that imperiled the saints, the Apostle Paul by the Spirit dealt with false teachers who tried to enforce the law of circumcision, and said of those false teachers, “I could wish that those who trouble you would even cut themselves off!” (Gal. 5:12). Teaching falsehood is deadly serious, and in the case of the pre-trib rapture it changes the biblical truth of God, who does not remove His people from tribulation, but carries them through it, that is, IF they believe Him. The pre-trib rapture has caused many to disbelieve the testimony of Jesus.

Being prepared for tribulation is critical, especially the global tribulation God foretold. Consider: if Noah hadn’t believed God, and prepared the Ark, both he and his family would have perished. If Joseph hadn’t believed God, and prepared, he and Israel would have perished with Egypt in the famine of that day. And when the generation of ancient Israel didn’t believe God at the edge of Canaan when they saw the giants, THEY DID PERISH in the wilderness! They did not inherit the promise! And so it will be again, because God said “That which has been is what will be, that which is done is what will be done, and there is nothing new under the sun” (Eccl. 1:9).

Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life” (John 14:6); He also said “And if I tell the truth, why do you not believe Me? (John 8:46). Therefore, “choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve” (Jos. 24:15), be it the unbelieving wishful heart of man, or the perfect Word of God.

While the Church is largely unprepared to inherit its eternal possession, as was ancient Israel, consider this great difference: while God DID NOT tell ancient Israel of her impending entrapment at the Red Sea beforehand, nor of dreadful giants at the edge of Canaan, God DID TELL us beforehand of our entrapment between “the son of perdition” (2 Thess. 2:3) and his “mark or the name of the beast” (Rev. 13:17), confirmed by Jesus saying “See, I have told you beforehand” (Matt. 24:25)! That’s part of God’s great love for His people who believe!

But the false pre-trib rapture narrative has destroyed all concern for God’s end-time promises. It’s nullified voluminous Scriptures that God intended for the preparation and endurance of His people and to find His provision and safety for the last half of the tribulation, when “the woman [the prepared Church] fled into the wilderness, where she has a place prepared by God, that they should feed her there one thousand two hundred and sixty days” (Rev. 12:6).

Believe that Christ “must remain in heaven until the time comes for God to restore everything” (Acts 3:21 NIV), which occurs “Immediately after the tribulation” (Matt. 24:29–31); for then “the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. 11:15). Believe God and prepare.

“And there will be signs”

Friday, January 18, 2019

For the last several years I believed, and more so now than ever before, that for reasons of Jesus’ parable of the fig tree, (Matt. 24:32–35), and that “there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations” (Luke 21:25), together with four blood moons on Jewish high holy days in recent years, that all these are the precursor to the “covenant with many” (Dan. 9:27). God has been sending the world, and the Church, signs of the end-times.

Jesus’ parable of the fig tree identifies the final generation of this present age, which began May 14, 1948 with the rebirth of Israel just as God foretold at (Isa. 66:8). And the Seal, Trumpet and Bowl judgments are concurrent events leading to the return of Christ. That these events will be challenging is an understatement, hence our great need to prepare in the testimony of Jesus.

Coming in just two days, in the late hours of Jan. 20th and early hours of Jan. 21st, EST, there will be another blood moon, a total lunar eclipse which again foreshadows the (Dan. 9:27) peace “covenant with many”. Jesus exhorts us to “discern the signs of the times” (Matt. 16:3). In fact, He rebukes those who do not discern the signs of the times. Let’s not be one of them.

Here are the details of this lunar eclipse: https://www.space.com/42976-blood-moon-lunar-eclipse-2019-coming-soon.html. Uniquely, the article states that “The last time New Yorkers could gaze so high at a totally eclipsed moon was in 1797, when John Adams was president; the next opportunity won’t come until 2113.” This unique sign “in the moon” heralds the “covenant with many”. I continue to strongly believe that the time of this covenant has come.

U.S. President Donald Trump and his Jewish Orthodox son-in-law, Jared Kushner, have their proposed peace plan for the Middle East, but won’t unveil it for several months. Time will tell whether the Trump / Kushner plan is that “covenant” or not, which begins the final seven years. While President Trump in no way fills the requirements of the Antichrist, it is possible that his plan, could, however, be signed or put into action by, say, another more non-partisan globally respected figure such as Pope Francis who already signed a May 2015 covenant recognizing Palestine as a sovereign nation state seen here: https://www.timesofisrael.com/vatican-signs-treaty-recognizing-state-of-palestine/

Compare the above May 2015 link wherein Pope Francis affirms Palestine, to this January 11, 2019 article, https://www.lifesitenews.com/opinion/pope-franciss-advocacy-for-islam-could-destroy-europe wherein his advocacy for Islam continues unabated: “In short, Pope Francis has acted as an advocate for Islam. He has portrayed it as a religion of peace, the moral equivalent of Catholicism, and a force for good.” Pope Francis has spread his false narrative to U.S. churches, causing a deadly false unity between Islam and Christian pastors utterly devoid of discernment.

And the irony of it all is that the Vatican holds legal control of, not just Jerusalem, but all the land of Israel, according to the “FUNDAMENTAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE HOLY SEE AND THE STATE OF ISRAEL” dated December 30, 1993. Biblically, the office of the papacy is the only qualified force to make that “covenant with many” (Dan. 9:27). And the maker of that covenant, Antichrist, will ultimately make his seat of authority in Jerusalem.

In one of Nikki Haley’s final statements as U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. regarding the Trump / Kushner peace plan, she said, “It is time we faced a hard truth: both sides would benefit greatly from a peace agreement, but the Palestinians would benefit more, and the Israelis would risk more. It is with this backdrop in mind that the Trump administration has crafted its plan for peace between Israel and the Palestinians.” https://www.jpost.com/Breaking-News/US-ambassador-to-Israel-Trumps-peace-plan-delayed-for-several-months-576478

Many have asked about the “generation” in Jesus’ Parable of the Fig Tree of (Matt. 24:32–35). God tells us that “The days of our lives are seventy years; and if by reason of strength they are eighty years” (Psa. 90:10). We now end the 71st year since Israel’s rebirth, and the generation that saw that “will by no means pass away till all these things take place” (Matt. 24:34). But as for Jesus’ return, “of that day and hour no one knows” (Matt. 24:36), however, we can certainly know the season of it to within a ninety-day period of time! Therein, it’s not mere speculation to believe that about nine years remain till the end of this present age.

Are you prepared to endure the reign of Antichrist to soon envelop the world? God has given us His Word and testimony of truth concerning all this; the Church, however, just needs to believe Him and prepare accordingly. But don’t wait for the Church to lead you in this because it will not. Here’s why: the Church is steeped in its own deception of the pre-trib rapture. And many will, with hostility, be offended when they discover that they loved that lie, and not the truth.

And the world’s scientific communities are aggressively developing the technologies of GRIN (Genetics, Robotics, Information and Nanotechnology). They’re creating enhanced humans that are millions of times more intelligent than God-created humans, just “as the days of Noah were” (Matt. 24:37), via corrupted DNA, Satan’s repeated attempt to destroy mankind made in God’s image, with his deceptive promise that “ye shall be as gods” (Gen. 3:5 KJV).

Fathers, husbands and brothers in Christ, it’s our responsibility to lead our families in the truths of Jesus’ testimony for the end-times. We must pay special attention to this, because we are the spiritual heads and leaders of our homes, not our wives and sisters, for God has ordained it, (1 Cor. 11:3). We’re commanded to provide for and protect our families physically and spiritually. To that end, “if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially for those of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever” (1 Tim. 5:8).

Do we confess to be followers of Christ? Good! Then let’s prove our faith by believing that Christ “must remain in heaven until the time comes for God to restore everything” (Acts 3:21 NIV), which occurs “Immediately after the tribulation” (Matt. 24:29–31); for then “the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. 11:15).

“we are ambassadors for Christ”

Friday, January 11, 2019

“Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God” (2 Cor. 5:20). To “be reconciled to God” redirects our earthly efforts to “whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him” (Col. 3:17); and to “make disciples of all the nations…teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you” (Matt. 28:19–20).

An October 9, 2018 headline at The Washington Free Beacon states, “Nikki Haley Resigns as United Nations Ambassador”. She subsequently vacated her role as U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. on December 31, 2018, a date she choose for her exit from that pivotal role.

Webster’s Tenth defines an ambassador as “an official envoy…a diplomatic agent of the highest rank…representative of his own government…an authorized representative or messenger”. Nikki Haley’s departure has created a tough vacancy for the Trump Administration to fill as revealed in a December 7, 2018 POLITICO article titled, “U.N. search sputters as Nikki Haley’s exit nears”. Many once considered for the job have fallen away due to “a lack of foreign policy chops”.

Unlike Ms. Haley, however, Christians may not vacate ambassadorship of Christ without severe consequences. If the Christian’s earthly pursuits are not carefully guarded, he or she can become lukewarm, (Rev. 3:15–17), which, if not repented of will result in being cut off from Christ.

Ms. Haley represented America to the nations. The Christian, in word and deed, represents Christ to the nations and defends His truths. When Jesus came He represented God the Father, speaking and doing the Father’s will. Christians emulate that by being Christ’s representatives. Thus, it is extremely discouraging when the Church restricts and silences the end-time testimony of Christ.

But “our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body that it may be conformed to His glorious body” (Phil. 3:20–21). Awaiting the Savior requires being prepared and remaining steadfast with a vision of what is to come…the end of this age is now near, and only what we do for Christ will endure.

America is the world at its best, and while there is some social good, its national best is corrupt, full of lies, deceit, infanticide, death and wars, just like other nations. And though we live in the world we are not of the world as God warns, “Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him” (1 John 2:15).

Being an ambassador for Christ is not expedient in American politics, in fact, it would be political suicide. But didn’t Christ call us to that very thing, to die to self, to spiritually die to things of this world?  It was Jesus who said “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me” (Luke 9:23). That’s not an American ideal. It’s an ideal of those who have made a willful cost-counting decision to follow Christ and reject Satan’s ambitions because “the whole world lies under sway of the wicked one” (1 John 5:19).

An ambassador of Christ is not synonymous with being Republican, Democrat or Independent. Neither is fighting for one’s constitutional rights, or fighting and killing in America’s bloody wars; in fact, the latter is altogether anti-Christ for which God warned against (2 Cor. 10:1–6). No apostle of Christ fought in national wars because they were ambassadors of Christ, and as a result suffered persecution and martyrdom by their governments and religious leaders.

Ambassadors of Christ, however, cannot resign their calling as do ambassadors of nations without committing spiritual suicide, for “It is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted the heavenly gift, and have become partakers of the Holy Spirit, and have tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come, if they fall away, to renew them again to repentance, since they crucify again for themselves the Son of God, and put Him to an open shame” (Heb. 6:4–6). Could this account for the dramatic rise of Christian suicides?

Ambassadorship to the Lord Jesus who saved us, warns, saying, “Beware, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief in departing from the living God; [one cannot depart from God if he didn’t once belong to Him] but exhort one another daily, while it is called ‘Today,’ lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. For we have become partakers of Christ if we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast to the end” (Heb. 3:12–14). This is just one more biblical truth among many that destroys Calvinism’s “once saved always saved” doctrine.

To “hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast to the end” agrees with Jesus saying that “he who endures to the end shall be saved” (Matt. 24:13), not meaning those who jump ship and take their own life or the lives of others into their own hands, because Jesus is “the author and finisher of our faith” (Heb. 12:2). This is extremely critical as the world now faces end-time global wars.

Contextually, God said, “Therefore we must give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest we drift away. For if the word spoken through angels proved steadfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just reward, how shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation, which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed to us by those who heard Him, God also bearing witness both with signs and wonders, with various miracles, and gifts of the Holy Spirit, according to His own will?” (Heb. 2:1–4).

Ambassadorship of Christ follows His example who said “I must work the works of Him who sent Me while it is day; the night is coming when no one can work” (John 9:4). Truly, just as the time came when Jesus could no longer work as He prepared for His dark hour of trial, so too, the tribulation darkness is coming when we will not be able to work as ambassadors for Christ. That time will come at the middle of the tribulation when Antichrist issues his mark of the beast, and “the woman [the prepared Church] fled into the wilderness, where she has a place prepared by God, that they should feed her there one thousand two hundred and sixty days” (Rev. 12:6).

Time is short, so “choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve” (Jos. 24:15). America, and all nations will be destroyed, and anyone fighting to preserve her will ultimately be fighting against God, who said, “I will gather all the nations to battle against Jerusalem…Then the Lord will go forth and fight against those nations” (Zech. 14:2–3). God wins, but the United Nations lose! Dear believer, decide now to who’s ambassadorship you are given.

“the truth shall make you free”

Friday, January 4, 2019

Welcome to the New Year, 2019! May you and yours be blessed in faith of God’s eternal truths! I pray the eyes of your heart, mind and soul are open to realize that we live in the last days, but more specifically, that ours is the final generation of this present age according to the testimony of Christ in His parable of the fig tree at Matt. 24:32–35.

To begin the New Year, I want to address two issues: 1) why I write thefridayletter.com, and 2) the snare of indoctrination, a dangerous place of Christian and social beliefs that restricts one’s ability to believe anything beyond the indoctrination in which he or she was taught to believe.

First, I write thefridayletter.com because, in Christ, I love you and care deeply about the eternal destiny of both believers and unbelievers. I’ve invested time, study and prayer to learn that we must endure the final seven years of this age, and that there will not be a pre-tribulation rapture as promised by most denominational churches; a message for which there is not a single verse of Scripture. Yet, unsuspecting millions have been indoctrinated to believe the totally false pre-trib rapture; their hope is built, not on Jesus’ Words, but on the sinking sands of the tradition of men.

I also take with deep sobriety the promise of Jesus that in the final seven years “many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another” (Matt. 24:10). I don’t want that to occur with even one person in my sphere of influence. Yet, I know that “concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him…that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition” (2 Thess. 2:3).

I want to help people believe Christ who is the truth, to personalize His testimony and not relegate it to others, as do those of dispensationalism. I know too that the wickedness of Nimrod who built the Tower of Babel and changed his DNA when he “began to be a mighty one” (Gen. 10:8) is today actively at work to transform mankind’s DNA to being a god gaining immortality. Technologically, humanity has returned to the transhuman days of Noah, and the transgender days of Lot, both of which Jesus said would mark the end of this present age.

The times of the end require sincere preparation, but the Church is not addressing truths of the tribulation that will soon envelop the world. And multitudes will be deeply offended when the reality of the end-times breaks upon them. Globalists, by the spirit of Antichrist are creating the New World Order as God lessens His restraint on Satan for his unfettered seven-year reign.

Secondly, false indoctrination must be exposed, (Eph. 5:11). Webster says indoctrination is: “to instruct in fundamentals or rudiments…to imbue with a partisan or sectarian opinion”. Truth be known, we were all once falsely indoctrinated toward one thing or another. For example, much of what we’ve been taught to believe about the founding of America is false. Most of America’s founding fathers did not honor Christ, but served the Freemason’s god, the Great Architect of the Universe, none other than Lucifer, the Light Bearer.

Freemasons, like Mormons, believe in man’s deification to becoming gods. This is seen in the artist Brumidi’s Apotheosis of Washington in the Rotunda dome of the U.S. Capitol, see here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Apotheosis_of_Washington. The scenes surrounding George Washington ascending (among other gods) to his own state of godhood are not Godly, but evil.  George Washington was a Master Freemason. His apotheosis (deification) is surrounded by 72 satanic pentagrams, which is a highly ritualistic number in the occult and Freemasonry. This is why many dignitaries “lie in state” in the Capitol Rotunda, that they, like Washington, can also allegedly ascend to their deification of god among other gods of the esoteric enlightened ones.

Secret societies and their Luciferian agendas formed the foundation and direction of America, the democratic experiment of visionaries like Freemasons Francis Bacon and Albert Pike. 33rd Degree Freemason, Manly P. Hall’s book, The Secret Destiny of America shares those chilling details. Freemasons, Skull and Bones, the Illuminati, the Bilderberg’s, Bohemian Groove, the Rosicrucians and others, have, by satanic powers, revived the New World Order, the ancient fourth beast kingdom of the Prophet Daniel. Our sterilized history of indoctrination, together with those who perpetuate the false narrative, continue this great deception.

Our culture has been indoctrinated to believe government, its presidents, legislators, judges, the FBI, the CIA, the FDA, educators, preachers, doctors and others in positions of authority, only to now realize that “We the people…” have been misled, lied to and subjected to much fake news. We’ve been lied to about our founding fathers, our wars, education, vaccines, foods, politics and much more. And many of us have awakened to the fact that there’s a wicked Deep State secretly at work at every level of global society to destroy nationalism and usher in end-time globalism.

As Christians, we shouldn’t be surprised, knowing that Satan, the god of this age is a liar and the father of lies, (John 8:44), for “the whole world lies under the sway of the wicked one” (1 John 5:19). Therein, God said “Why do the nations rage, and the people plot a vain thing? The kings of the earth [and this includes U.S. presidents, legislators and politicians] set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord and against His Anointed, saying, ‘Let us break Their bonds in pieces and cast away Their cords from us” (Psa. 2:1–3). And for our benefit, Jesus instructs us to “know the truth and the truth shall make you free” (John 8:32).

Just for one example, not to even mention the false narratives we have been fed regarding wars in which hundreds of millions of people have been destroyed, consider that, for the last 46 years Roe v. Wade has been American law! America has outright murdered tens of millions of unborn innocent babies in the womb and continues unabated! Yet, the majority of American politicians continue looking the other way as if all were normal and as it should be!

Consider too that America was birthed at the theft of, and often death and destruction of the Native American people, not to mention the outright rebellion against the authority of England. Yet, many pastors and teachers will remind their flocks to be subject to “governing authorities” according to Rom. 13:1–7. But post-Calvary, murders and wars are the work of satanic powers.

As for religious indoctrination? For over sixteen centuries Roman Catholic popes lorded their falsehoods and evil dictates over the common man and woman absent the ability to know the truth for lack of personal Bibles. But Johannes Gutenberg’s printed Bible changed all that in the 1450’s, but he immediately became a marked man for destruction by the papal throne. In fact, anyone who opposed Catholicism’s popes was marked for death, often executed by Jesuit priests of the Society of Jesus, a Roman Catholic death squad established in 1540 by Ignatius of Loyola.

Enter the Reformation and Roman Catholic popes lost their tyrannical grip on the common man and woman. Their indoctrination of indulgences, transubstantiation and many other false forms of worship and idolatry was finally broken to the glory of God! In the process of leaving Roman Catholicism, however, tens of millions were murdered for their newfound freedom in Christ as the papal throne was relentless in its merciless pursuit of true Christians. That day is returning.

Enter the pride, violence and disunity among Reformed leaders as each created his own denomination. From the Anabaptists who were conscientious objectors to military violence, to John Calvin who shamelessly incited the government of Geneva, Switzerland to burn at the stake and execute those he judged as heretics, to others less violent, each reformer established his own indoctrination, to gain his own following, to form his own church, and his own doctrine. As a result, today there are thousands of denominations. This link provides just a few of the many: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Christian_denominations_by_number_of_members

Why is this important today? Because, for those of us who grew up in the Church, we were by default indoctrinated by one of those denominations. Some of us have left the one in which we grew up to join another. Some have left denominational membership altogether, realizing that much of what’s taught today does not agree with God’s Word. Others find psychological security in denominational indoctrination, even to the point where they reject the possibility of anything other than their indoctrination…even to the rejection of the contextual Words of Jesus Christ!

Things I’ve shared today about America’s founding fathers and the Church are not conspiracy theories, but real truths–truths that require study, research and sincere Spirit-led work to expose false teachings and false indoctrination with power to hold people captive to unbelief. Speaking of Satan’s deceptions, God said “we are not ignorant of his devices” (2 Cor. 2:11), yet, many professing Christians are indeed unaware of Satan’s devices, otherwise they’d believe Jesus.

Pray that God helps people believe that, Christ “must remain in heaven until the time comes for God to restore everything” (Acts 3:21 NIV), which occurs “Immediately after the tribulation” (Matt. 24:29–31); for only then “the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. 11:15).

The World Is Going To War

Friday, December 28, 2018

Thus saith the Lord God for the times of the end: “And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom” (Matt. 24:6–7). God’s Word is worthy of special note that Christ said “you will hear of wars”, not participate in them.

“World War I…was a global war originating in Europe that lasted from 1914 to 1918…it led to the mobilization of more than 70 million military personnel, including 60 million Europeans… An estimated nine million combatants and seven million civilians died as a direct result of the war, and it also contributed to later genocides and the 1918 influenza pandemic, which caused between 50 and 100 million deaths worldwide.” (Wikipedia) The work of Satan.

World War II…was a global war that lasted from 1939 to 1945…[it] eventually formed two opposing military alliances: the Allies and the Axis…World War II was the deadliest conflict in human history, marked by 50 to 85 million fatalities, most of whom were civilians in the Soviet Union and China. It included massacres, the genocide of the Holocaust…premeditated death from starvation and disease, and the only use of nuclear weapons in war.” (Wikipedia)

WWI caused the deaths of about 16 million people, plus “genocides and the 1918 influenza pandemic, which caused between 50 and 100 million deaths worldwide”; while WWII added another “50 to 85 million fatalities” plus “premeditated death from starvation and disease”. Post-Calvary wars are NOT the work of God but of Satan, who “does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy” (John 10:10), and Christians must be prepared to live in that truth.

“When He opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature saying, ‘Come and see.’ So I looked, and behold a pale horse. And the name of him who sat on it was Death, and Hades followed with him. And power was given to him over a fourth of the earth, to kill with sword, with hunger, with death, and by the beasts of the earth” (Rev. 6:7–8).

Make no mistake here: wars and the born again Christian are NOT synonymous. They are at great opposition one with another. Christians serve the light of Christ, but war serves the hideous darkness of Lucifer. The apostle Paul under inspiration of the Holy Spirit addressed this issue.

For vernacular clarity I quote from the NIV: “By the humility and gentleness of Christ, I appeal to you—I, Paul, who am ‘timid’ when face to face with you, but ‘bold’ toward you when away! I beg you that when I come I may not have to be as bold as I expect to be toward some people who think that we [saints] live by the standards of this world. For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. And we will be ready to punish every act of disobedience, once your obedience is complete” (2 Cor. 10:1–6). Seven times “we” is used, meaning the saints.

The same apostle who wrote the above, also said, “The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you” (Phil. 4:9). Do not miss the conditional prerequisite to “the God of peace” being with those of us who believe. As Christians, we believe and defend the post-Calvary Word of the Lord and not the fallen warring dictates of national/globalist rulers over us. Christians are Christ’s ambassadors, not the worlds.

Christians are to be subject to governing authorities, (Rom. 13:1–7), UNLESS that subjection conflicts with God’s commands because “We ought to obey God rather than men” (Acts 5:29). But many are not spiritually equipped to withstand worldly mocking, rejection and ridicule for believing God, who by faith is unseen, rather than earthly governing authorities who are seen.

In these end-times the world is going to war, and war serves the purposes of Satan in the destruction of mankind made in the image of God, and now is the time every believer needs to decide on whose side he or she will be on – God’s side or the side of national/globalist dictates, for, “No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon” (Matt. 6:24). Wars are about money, power and control, and the god of this age, Satan, commands them.

Decide today that you will be found in obedience on the side of Christ and His commands, for His Kingdom is a matter of “righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit” (Rom. 14:17), which is impossible among the “wars and rumors of wars” of men and their greed for money, power and control, which always results in the death and destruction of people made in the image of God. Even an elementary understanding of faith in Christ discerns these truths.

And to those who would point to the Old Testament examples of God commanding ancient Israel to “go and attack Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and do not spare them. But kill both man and woman, infant and nursing child, ox and sheep, camel and donkey” (1 Sam. 15:3), please know the truth, that God commanded ancient Israel to destroy a non-redeemable people who had corrupted their God-created DNA with the seed of Satan through sexual relations with fallen angels, which in fact led to Noah’s flood (Gen. 6:1–4) and continued “also afterward” (Gen. 6:4). There are voluminous end-time truths here that the Church is not disclosing.

But know this: the world will soon be embroiled in unprecedented wars that will kill “a fourth” (Rev. 6:8) of mankind, and then another “third of mankind” (Rev. 9:15) because Satan knows his time is short. And he wants you to ignore God’s commands for you and participate in those wars. But as Christians we must decide beforehand and “choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve” (Joshua 24:15), be it the god of this age, or Christ our Savior. We must be patient through affliction, for, “We must through many tribulations enter the kingdom of God” (Acts 14:22).

Wars are integral to Satan’s end-time plan of destroying mankind made in the image of God as seen in the 20th century. And wars will continue to the end of this age as elite globalists agree that global population must be reduced to 500 million as revealed on the Georgia Guidestones.

Our mission as God-honoring, and redeemable fellowman-loving believers, should we decide to accept it, is as Jesus said to the persecuted Church: “Do not fear any of those things which you are about to suffer…Be faithful unto death, and I will give you the crown of life” (Rev. 2:10).

The Second Advent of Christ

Friday, December 21, 2018

From the Old Testament prophets who by God’s Spirit foretold the virgin birth of Jesus, every detail and biblically authoritative proof of Christ’s first advent is boldly preached and taught. And rightly so. But what’s become of the equally important details of Christ’s second advent?

The virgin birth of Christ and His love for people by coming to redeem the fallen estate of humanity to save “Whoever desires to come after Me” (Mark 8:34a), removes all doubt that Christ is indeed the only true God and Savior, able to convert the soul who is willing to “deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me” (Mark 8:34b). All the biblical truths of Christ’s first advent are true whether believed or not.

But why is it that Christ’s first advent of two thousand years ago gets so much attention while His soon-coming second advent, which incidentally has far more biblical details, gets so little? Is it because people of the Church feel non-threatened by that which is past, but threatened by that which is to come? Why the great imbalance of teaching Christ’s two advents?

Christ’s second advent does not receive even a tenth of the attention as His first. The disparity is remarkable. Not just at Christmas, but throughout the year, many will pontificate every biblical truth as to why Christ’s first advent is true, while even more biblical details surrounding His second advent fall silent.

Christ’s first advent is annually displayed in manger scenes all across America, though great resistance is now mounting to prohibit from public display those scenes. But why are there not also scenes of His second advent when He descends from heaven, not as an Infant, but as the reigning King of Glory, to gather His elect “Immediately after the tribulation” (Matt. 24:29–31)?

With Christ’s first advent two-thousand years behind us, should not every pastor and teacher who loves “the King of kings and Lord of lords” (1 Tim. 6:15) boldly proclaim all the prophetic truths of His second advent to which every believer looks forward with anticipation? YES! But it’s not like that. Why? Is it for fear?

Or is it because men haven’t remained close to Christ’s testimony and taught theological confusion of His second advent and people don’t know which of the choices they’ve been told to believe is correct – whether Christ’s descent from heaven for the gathering of saints is a pre, mid, pre-wrath, or post-millennial event? If one doesn’t know the truth, it’s very confusing. The truth is, however, God taught only one second advent of Christ, and it’s none of the above. All one needs to do is believe the testimony of Jesus Christ.

God said Christ “must remain in heaven until the time comes for God to restore everything” (Acts 3:21 NIV) which occurs “Immediately after the tribulation” (Matt. 24:29–31); for only then “the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. 11:15).

The above truths require sincere and thoughtful preparation, which to many, sounds uninviting, even difficult, and we live in a Church age when most refuse to deal with the difficult. Yet, that’s what Christ promised those who choose to follow Him when He said “Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it” (Matt. 7:13–14).

We have entered the end-times and Christians must be prepared for the economic collapse, the global wars, and the apocalypse now imminent, but the Church remains largely silent and every Christian should ask why? Governments are uniting to create the New World Order, and ramp up the disarming of citizens, which will come to America. The U.N.’s 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development will advance regardless of the human, economic and social tolls.

Pope Francis is even now betraying his own church, having grown very friendly toward communist China which persecutes all religions including Roman Catholicism. Globalists weaponize the weather by aerial spraying of toxic compounds and it’s creating deadly weather: see www.geoengineeringwatch.org. Foods are being weaponized with growth hormones, and our grains are genetically modified: www.gmoevidence.com. Both make people sick and dependent on big pharma, as “those who destroy the earth” (Rev. 11:18) not only cause climate change, but mandate global population reduction and work tirelessly toward that end.

Many Christians refuse to believe that agents of Satan will temporarily win this end-time battle. For example “Jon Hamill, co-founder of Washington, D.C.-based Lamplighter Ministries, whom supporters describe as a prophet — closed his eyes tightly and shouted above the chattering: “In Jesus’ name, we declare the Deep State will not prevail!” Source: Charisma News 12/11/2018. He obviously doesn’t believe Dan. 7:21 and Rev. 13:7 wherein Satan makes war with the saints and overcomes them. It’s never a good idea to pray against God’s Word, but to prepare in it.

Determine now that you and your loved ones, and those in your sphere of influence will be part of the few who enter the narrow gate. If you stay close to the testimony of Jesus Christ and love Him with all your heart, mind, soul and strength, you can have confidence that you will be part of the gathering when Christ descends from heaven “Immediately after the tribulation”. But to get there requires much sincere and thoughtful Spirit-led preparation. In Christ you can do it!

Have a blessed Christmas season and celebration. And when your family is gathered together, take the time to discuss the truths of His second advent which is now before us. Determine one with another that you will be prepared to not only engage but endure to the end, for it was Jesus who said “But he who endures to the end shall be saved” (Matt. 24:13). God bless you and have a wonderful Christmas season!

True Repentance is Required

Friday, December 14, 2018

The best friend we could ever have is the Son of God, Jesus Christ. He is the hero of every true Christian – no one else. No one! Because eternal life has been made available only through Him, only His testimony and that of His Spirit is worthy of safeguarded praise, honor and exaltation. We dare not add to or subtract from His Word, for God has warned: “For I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds to these things, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book; and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the Book of Life, from the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book” (Rev. 22:18–19).

Being a friend of God begins with: “Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, and that He may send Jesus Christ, who was preached to you before, whom heaven must receive until the times of restoration of all things, [affirming the post-trib rapture] which God has spoken by the mouth of all His holy prophets since the world began” (Acts 3:19–21). Repentance and turning from our own will to believe and trust Christ is the prerequisite to being a friend of God, otherwise, “he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him” (John 3:36).

We should hear much about repentance, not just from our own spirit, but especially where we attend church. It should be preached often. Though repentance goes against the natural will of every man, woman and child, it is the prerequisite of Christ being our friend. If we are faithful in this, then we will be His fit ambassadors to safeguard His testimony and to emulate Him in our lives to the very best of our ability through the strength and indwelling power of the Holy Spirit.

Putting to death our self-will (and yes, we all have one regardless of what Calvinism teaches) is vital to eternal life. And our example in this comes from Christ Himself, who “in all things He had to be made like His brethren” (Heb. 3:17). Jesus prayed, “Father, if it is Your will, take this cup away from Me; nevertheless not My will, but Yours, be done.” (Luke 22:42). Don’t miss the Savior’s Words, “not My will, but yours, be done”. That must also be the practice of our own hearts to say, “not my will, but yours, Lord”, which requires the yielding of our will.

In our flesh we often fail for “The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak” (Matt. 26:41) therefore on our behalf repentance is often required. But unlike mankind, Christ never sinned, so repentance was not required of Him, but submitting His will to God was “that He might be a merciful and faithful High Priest in things pertaining to God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people. For in that He Himself has suffered, being tempted, He is able to aid those who are tempted” (Heb. 3:17–18). One of our greatest temptations is to disbelieve what God said.

To demonstrate this truth consider Jesus’ temptation in the wilderness. At every point of Satan’s attack Jesus responded with “It is written” (Matt. 4:4; 4:7 and 4:10). And at one point Satan even quoted God’s Word “It is written” (Matt. 4:6) back to Jesus to catch Him off guard. But Satan’s tactics haven’t changed, he uses God’s Word but in a twisted and perverse way. This is why it’s imperative that we know the contextual Word of God for ourselves. We must never simply rely on what we hear from the pulpit, because if we do, we set ourselves up to be deceived, because the pulpit is more often than not governed by doctrines and traditions of men.

Christ submitted His will to God that God’s will be done. Jesus said “For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent me” (John 6:38). And again, “I can of Myself do nothing. As I hear, I judge; and My judgment is righteous, because I do not seek My own will but the will of the Father who sent Me” (John 5:30). Keeping in mind that “in all things He had to be made like His brethren”, confirms that if Christ had a will that needed to be submitted, so too, we have a will that must be submitted to Him.

Consider: after Christ’s crucifixion and ascension, the first century churches became so corrupt with deceptions, doctrines and traditions of men that Christ sent strong letters of rebuke to those churches, see Revelation chapters 2 and 3. With the spiritual condition of those churches having fallen apart to that degree in the first century, how much worse have deceptions, doctrines and traditions of men become two thousand years later!

Many Christian men have relinquished their familial God-ordained headship to their wives. And they take their lead from many Church leaders and pastors who relinquished their God-ordained offices of headship to women for the governance of the Church. There’s little to no fear of God’s Word as men have raised their own will above God’s by ascending women to offices of authority and teaching reserved for men, see 1 Tim. 2:12–14. The same is true of Christ’s teachings of the end-times – men, by their own will, have created the wholly non-existent pre-trib rapture which has deceived many, but it pleases the people while many have grown very wealthy by their best-selling books that utterly contradict the testimony of Christ. And sadly, the voices of those who truly care about preserving God’s Word and will are very few.

But Jesus’ conditional warning is this, “You are My friends if you do whatever I command you” (John 15:14). Well, the truth of the matter is that Jesus commanded male governance of His Church by His Spirit through the apostles; and He also said of the end-times, “See, I have told you beforehand” (Matt. 24:25), but both are resolutely ignored by many professing Christian leaders, pastors and teachers. In many cases repentance from unbelief has not been dealt with.

“All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work” (2 Tim. 3:16–17). Since this is true, why is so much of God’s Word selectively and intentionally ignored and kept from the people? Answer: to protect the traditions of men “making the word of God of no effect” (Mark 7:13). However, “Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap” (Gal. 6:7).

Today, God’s love and grace is over-preached, while the consequences for disobedience and unbelief of His commands are greatly under-preached. Political correctness from the pulpit is causing the shipwreck of faith for many. And the false unity of religions is now spreading like wildfire, specifically the false unity of Christianity with Islam and Judaism. There is no unity between those three religions. Jesus Christ is the ONLY way to salvation and God the Father. And if you encounter anyone teaching otherwise, have nothing to do with them. We must safeguard the testimony, authority and worship of Jesus Christ now and always.
