Unfortunately, many people, including many Christians, believe and trust government officials. But God said of them, they “take counsel against the Lord and against His Anointed, saying, let us break Their bonds in pieces and cast away Their cords from us” (Psa. 2:1–3). They scorn God and His Christ, they scorn His laws. Psa. 2 is not in conflict to Rom. 13 which is based on rulers who “are NOT a terror to good works” (13:3) Despite this, many people still believe our leaders. But the world is now learning that Dr. Fauci was and is a liar, together with the globalist’s cabal at the CDC, the NIH, the WHO, and the UN. They’ve cornered people and now prepare to move against humanity with their kill-shots; increased lockdowns, masks and forced vaccine passports.
Corrupt national leaders are now telling us that COVID-19 variants are ramping up. As a result lockdowns and wearing masks are again being mandated. Many months ago I said the elite will never relinquish the power they’ve stolen from the people. And that’s now being confirmed all over the world. Some are waking up to truth and they’re furious. Massive protests are breaking out as the deceptions are unmasked, but the elite will crack down even harder until they control the world for their New World Order lusts. If you haven’t prepared, time is swiftly running out.
Daily, Americans’ freedoms are being destroyed; daily, people are segregated by vaccine haves and have nots. Our rights are being stripped away by the elite, the radical Left and Democrats, all three of which are death cults. That’s very true. They want to destroy our freedoms and our lives. It’s unconscionable to consider, but socialist communism is now popularized in America. While Democrats aim to destroy America politically, the radical Left wants to destroy it by historical revisionism, critical race theory, racism, male degradation, female exaltation, LGBTQ+ agenda, abortion, death by vaccines, and more. All of these are enemies of Christ and His Bride, the true Church. It’s equally unconscionable that true Christians, conservatives, pro-lifers, and patriots, cannot gain footing to overturn the works of the wicked. But then, we know from God’s Word that these are the prophetic realities of the end-times as evil is exalted…but for a limited time.
In the midst of all this, we as true Christians must make our prayer and petition to God in Christ, because only He will hear and rescue His own. He is the Good Shepherd, and our hope is secure in Christ and His testimony. Let’s make our prayers and petitions to Him according to His Word. First, we deeply commit ourselves to the Lord Jesus very personally when we pray as He taught us to pray at Matt. 6:9–13. Secondly, we broaden our prayers to include those who do not know the Lord Jesus, because God “desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself a ransom for all” (1 Tim. 2:4–6). If we could glimpse an eternity separated from God, being thrust into outer darkness where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth, Matt. 8:12; 22:13; and 25:30, we would never wish our worst enemies to be there. Rather, we would call on the name of the Lord Jesus to save them.
In praying for ourselves we remember the psalmist’s prayer: “To You, O LORD, I lift up my soul. O my God, I trust in You; let me not be ashamed; let not mine enemies triumph over me. Indeed let no one who waits on You be ashamed; let those be ashamed who deal treacherously without cause” (Psa. 25:1–3). These end-times see many who deal treacherously without cause, those who would harm many at the evil desires of the few. Yet, the evils of those few even now infect the global masses; people destitute of faith in Christ; they ignore God’s salvation and His judgments; they choose to live wickedly and will spend eternity in hell “Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched” (Mark 9:44; 9:46; 9:48 KJV). But for we who truly believe, we cry out to God saying “let not mine enemies triumph over me”. Yes, indeed, and “He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, ‘He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in Him I will trust’” (Psa. 91:1–2).
Always be humble in prayer. Never audacious. Never presumptuous. Never haughty. Never be proud. Never demanding. Never tell God what will be according to your own will, but agreeing with Jesus, say “Your will be done” (Matt. 6:10), not mine. Remember that you speak to the God of all creation. He’s the only wise God who sent His only begotten Son to redeem mankind, that “He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him” (John 3:36). Pray to Christ in true, deep humility.
The Holy Spirit said, “Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, [which requires knowing His Word] He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him” (1 John 5:14–15). [My emphasis added] We don’t ask according to our will because we reside in temporal, decaying bodies of flesh that crave desires contrary to God’s will. For example, the Holy Spirit said through the apostle “Come now, you who say, ‘Today or tomorrow we will go to such and such a city, spend a year there, buy and sell, and make a profit’; whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away. Instead you ought to say, ‘If the Lord wills, we shall live and do this or that’. But now you boast in your arrogance. All such boasting is evil” (James 4:13–16).
Consider, our will is confined to a mere 70, 80 or 100 years. But God’s will is infinite, knowing the end from the beginning, from eternity past to eternity future. Our will exists within our own finite vapor of time. Never be presumptuous or audacious in prayers and petitions. When you pray, in humility remember that you speak to your Creator, the One True God who will judge you according to the things you’ve done “whether good or bad” (2 Cor. 5:10). Do not test God. Don’t be presumptuous though some teach that you can tell God what will be. Some write books on how to get God to act according to your will. Don’t waste your time with such foolishness, “God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble” (James 4:6 and 1 Peter 5:5).
Specifically regarding the end-times and finding God’s place of safety and provision for 1,260 days, the last 3 1/2 years of great tribulation, Jesus commands us to “Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man” (Luke 21:36). That prayer should always be front and center in our minds, for it prepares one’s spirit for that future moment when we will need to find God’s safety and provision as did Noah and Lot. Those two men lived with an imminent doom of destruction and it was imperative that they listened to and obeyed the voice of God so they were prepared to escape when the moment to flee arose. This is why Jesus tells us that “as it was in the days of Noah…[and] as it was also in the days of Lot…Even so will it be in the day when the Son of Man is revealed” (Luke 17:26–30). Like those men, our time frame to escape will be small.
