Speaking specifically of the end-times, the Lord Jesus said “there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring” (Luke 21:25). But how many people including professing Christians actually believe it? Many observe amazing signs in the heavens and simply chalk it up to another natural occurrence rather than a fulfillment of Christ’s end-time prophecy. Given the rebellion of America together with a church that’s exchanged repentance for entertainment, it’s expected that few will account signs in the heavens as having any significance other than just another natural course of nature.
Billy Graham’s wife, Ruth, said “If God doesn’t soon bring judgment upon America, He’ll have to go back and apologize to Sodom and Gomorrah!” (Source) The sentiment of that statement is fitting of America for her radical fall from conservative values that honor and protect the nuclear family, of biological sex and Bible reading and prayer in public schools. Signs in the sun, moon, and stars warn of impending judgment. But will people repent? Will government leaders repent? Will the church repent of emulating Hollywood more than Christ as it produces emotionalism instead of repentance and holiness? Satan, the god of this age, has blinded most. The time has come when “He who is unjust, let him be unjust still; he who is filthy, let him be filthy still; he who is righteous, let him be righteous still; he who is holy, let him be holy still” (Rev. 22:11).
Unlike nations that restrict Christ’s gospel, America has invited her own destruction by her wickedness though having God’s word, unhindered, preached and esteemed for many decades. But wicked progressive spirits were allowed to prevail upon a spiritually divided people within the church, which then extended into every branch of government. As a result in the early 1960s prayer and Bible reading was ejected from public schools. Then in the early 1970s the murder of unborn human children was legalized which led to the murders of tens of millions of innocent babies in their mother’s womb. Then in the early 1980s destructive people publically celebrated homosexuality and all the depravities of the LGBTQ+ agendas. Today, in public schools young children are being indoctrinated by evil drag queens. School children, indoctrinated by wicked teachers are told they can choose their sexuality and can access sex-change surgeries without notice or consent of the parents. America is about to reap what she has sown. Destruction!
God said “the land is defiled; therefore I visit the punishment of its iniquity upon it, and the land vomits out its inhabitants. You shall therefore keep My statutes and My judgments, and shall not commit any of these abominations, either any of your own nation or any stranger who dwells among you (for all these abominations the men of the land have done, who were before you, and thus the land is defiled), lest the land vomit you out also when you defile it, as it vomited out the nations that were before you. For whoever commits any of these abominations, the persons who commit them shall be cut off from among their people. Therefore you shall keep My ordinance, so that you do not commit any of these abominable customs which were committed before you, and that you do not defile yourselves by them: I am the LORD your God” (Deut. 18:25–30).
Now I know there are those who will say “But that’s Old Testament! That doesn’t apply to us!” But I will tell you by the authority of Jesus Christ the Son of God, “Oh yes it does apply to us!” And here’s why. In Peter’s first sermon of the New Testament, God, by His Spirit very clearly said “For Moses truly said to the fathers, ‘The LORD your God will raise up for you a Prophet [Christ] like me from your brethren. Him [Christ] you shall hear in all things, whatever He says to you. And it shall be that every soul who will not hear that Prophet shall be utterly destroyed from among the people” (Acts 3:22–23). God warned of abominations. His word is clear, those who commit them will not inherit eternal life, Rom 1:18–32, 1 Cor. 6:9–10, Mark 10:6–9, 1 Tim. 1:8–11 and Jude 1:7–8. God said of those who reject His word “But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death” (Rev. 21:8).
The heavens warn us. The land is defiled. Will the land vomit out its people?
In twenty-four days from today, on April 8, 2024, there will occur a total solar eclipse. And this eclipse is unique and is worthy of personal and national spiritual introspection. This eclipse may well be a prophetic sign to America, from God, of impending massive judgment. Let me explain. In 2017 there was a total solar eclipse that struck a path of totality across the United States from Georgia, diagonally, to Washington. Next month, the coming eclipse is going to strike a path of totality from Texas in our southwest to Maine in our northeast. When overlaid, the two eclipses form a giant “X” over the US. And what’s further interesting, these two eclipses are seven years apart. And we know seven is a very significant number with God. Note the giant “X” as NASA overlays the two eclipses. (Source) Does history repeat? God says it does. Next is noteworthy.
The University of Heidelberg, on July 14, 2020, published a paper called “The Double Eclipse at the Downfall of Old Babylon” as provided by this link and should be considered as accurate. The link: “SHOCKING! THERE WERE 2 ECLIPSES 7 YEARS APART WHEN BABYLON FELL TOO!” The link inquires: “Could this be a sign that America truly is indeed Mystery Babylon?” I personally don’t believe America is “MYSTERY BABYLON THE GREAT” (Rev. 17:5). But I believe that Rome, the city on seven hills, fulfills that role due to the vivid descriptions given of her at Rev. 17:1–6. Nonetheless, the total eclipse of April 8, 2024 completes the “X” over the US and can be considered a serious omen of God’s near judgment. In addition to the Scripture first written above, consider these that also speak of the sun and moon in the end-times: Acts 2:20, Matt. 24:29–31, Rev. 8:12 and Joel 2:31. Is God sending the US a warning on April 8, 2024?
The Biden/Harris administration approves without restrictions abortion on demand, celebrates homosexual and transgender LBGTQ+ abominations, bringing this nation to a point of imminent judgment. In his hatred of everything that’s God-honoring, moral, conservative, decent and right, President Biden has mandated open borders and has consequently encouraged millions of illegal aliens, even outright criminals who are now dispersed throughout this nation. The question must be considered “Will God allow illegal alien criminals to be instruments of His judgment on this wicked nation?” It seems fitting in light of God’s word. “Therefore thus says the Lord GOD: ‘An adversary shall be all around the land; He shall sap your strength from you, and your palaces shall be plundered’” (Amos 3:11). FBI Director Wray warned that criminals from other nations are coming across our southern border. President Biden intentionally allows this. But then, God may be using Biden’s evil regime to bring judgments on the US from within.
