Millennia ago in ancient Egypt, God revealed to Joseph, Jacob’s eleventh of twelve sons, who had risen to a position of great authority in Egypt, that a coming seven-year famine would befall Egypt and the surrounding areas, but that that famine would be preceded by seven good years of bounty. Joseph believed the LORD and in true faith began to prepare for that seven-year famine.
God wants us to be discerning of this account as not only a great biblical lesson, but that it also speaks to our end-times: “That which has been is what will be, that which is done is what will be done, and there is nothing new under the sun” (Eccl. 1:9). That the famine’s duration was seven years is not mere coincidence, but warns believers of our own coming seven years of tribulation when “the man of sin … the son of perdition” (2Thess. 2:3) rules this world with all wickedness.
When the famine in ancient Egypt became grievous and Joseph’s own family couldn’t find food, they came to Egypt where Joseph not only gave them food, but also put them in a place of safety called Goshen. So, ancient Israel, being God’s people in Egypt, is synonymous with God’s post-Calvary believers in an ungodly world, and led to God’s special place of safety and provision in the great tribulation’s food shortages / famine…for those prepared. In this, we must discern that Jesus said of the tribulation, “there will be famines” (Matt. 24:7). And those food shortages and famines will most certainly come to the US. But Jesus did not tell us the cause of those famines or food shortages, if by God’s prophetic decree or by man’s own evil doing. But below is a truth that is largely unknown, even disbelieved by both believers and unbelievers. But now is the time to urgently and wisely prepare for the coming food shortages and famine, even famines of truth.
The linked article reveals that 96 meat and food growing facilities and food processing plants have been burned in just the last three years! “I knew there have been a lot of food processing plants and other food supply buildings that have burned down, blown up or otherwise met a catastrophic, untimely end in the last 3 years, but I had no idea just how many until I saw it all together in one place.” (Source) It’s been under President Biden’s watch, an elite globalist that these catastrophes of food destruction have occurred. This can’t be a coincidence, but planned destruction of America’s food supply which will soon create a great famine of food shortages. Those 96 plants can’t easily or quickly be replaced, but will take years to rebuild if the owners even think it viable and wise to rebuild. I would expect that many will likely never rebuild.
In ancient Egypt Joseph showed wisdom and began preparing for the coming famine. He didn’t believe for one second that God would save him and his family out of it by another means or by another epiphany saying otherwise. Rather, Joseph knew that his relationship with God required that he believed God, and actively prepared for that coming famine of food shortage that would endure seven years. Similarly, Jesus gave us believers ample warning of the coming seven-year tribulation wherein there will be famines, giving us the parable of the five wise and five foolish virgins, Matt. 25:1–13, to warn and demonstrate for us believers that, we too, just like Joseph in ancient Egypt, must also prepare to endure in the midst of our coming seven-year tribulation.
In the midst of that ancient Egypt famine, Joseph’s brothers came to buy grain, but not before Joseph exposed their sin of having sold him as a slave, a heart-wrenching and moving account. The point is that when the famine was great and food shortages also struck Canaan, God had a plan that would save His people from perishing, but they had to first repent and deal with their sin. Similarly, God will save believers in the midst of the coming seven-year tribulation if they have repented of their unbelief and sins, and prepared in the testimony of God in Christ. It will be those who repent and believe that will find God’s provision; it will be they who are like the five wise virgins of Matt. 25:1–13. But it will be the foolish, who like the five foolish virgins did not prepare in the words of Christ, but believing instead the pre-trib rapture who will not find God’s safety and provision at the middle of our severe seven-year tribulation and will sadly perish, “For wherever the carcass is, [dead people] there the eagles will be gathered together” (Matt. 24:28).
Again, the Scripture near the center of our Bible links the past with the present that we true believers would receive with grateful hearts and prepare accordingly. “That which has been is what will be, that which is done is what will be done, and there is nothing new under the sun. Is there anything of which it may be said, ‘See, this is new’? It has already been in ancient times before us. There is no remembrance of former things, nor will there be any remembrance of things that are to come by those who will come after” (Eccl. 1:9–11). To a great extent, in the organized church of our day, there is little to no remembrance of things long past; events in the Old Covenant that are a foreshadowing of that which is to come. Don’t let that be true of you and your loved ones. Prepare in the word and testimony of Jesus Christ and not in the dreams of man.
Elite globalists are now destroying the world’s food supplies, planning on forcing people to eat fake meat and bugs as the flatulence of cattle allegedly fuels global warming, say the likes of foolish Bill Gates and other elites like Yuval Noah Harari and Klaus Schwab, the UN and those creating the New World Order. But the internet has largely been purged of those search results claiming them to be conspiracy theories. And also prominent in the end-times is the world of AI, robotics, transhumanism, biometrics and the whole deceit of belief that, “You will not surely die … [but] you will be like God” (Gen. 3:4–5). But, “you see your calling, brethren, that not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called. But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty; and the base things of the world and the things which are despised God has chosen, and the things which are not, to bring to nothing the things that are, that no flesh should glory in His presence. But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God—and righteousness and sanctification and redemption—that, as it is written, ‘He who glories, let him glory in the LORD’” (1 Cor. 1:26–31). Amen!
The truth is, food shortages and famines are coming to America and it will produce angry mobs and gangs looking for food…anywhere. Nowhere will be off limits to those starving. And don’t think you’ll be raptured pre-trib before any of this becomes reality, because every one of us will be right here on earth for these grave tribulation events. What’s important is how we prepare or don’t. Just like God put ancient Israel in Goshen in the land of Egypt in the midst of their seven-year famine, so too God has already prepared a place of His provision and safety for the final 1,260 days of the great tribulation for those who believe and prepare in the testimony of Christ.
