When God sent His Only begotten Son to be born of the virgin, the angel, by holy inspiration said “you shall call His name JESUS, for He will save His people from their sins” (Matt. 1:21 and Luke 1:31). Therefore “whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life” (John 3:16); and “whoever believes in Him will receive remission of sins” (Acts 10:43); also to “whoever believes in Him will not be put to shame” (Rom. 9:33); and “Nor is there salvation in any other, [except Jesus] for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved” (Acts 4:12). That’s the power and importance and salvation of the name of Jesus, God’s Only begotten Son. We do well to remember that in all of our prayers and petitions made for every life need for ourselves, for all our loved ones, and even for those who are our enemies.
There is no other or higher name to whom we can appeal for answer to prayer. “Therefore God also has highly exalted Him [Jesus] and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father” (Philippians 2:9–11). This is validated by Jesus Himself who said “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth” (Matt. 28:18). And He further said, “whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son” [Jesus] (John 14:13). When we pray in keeping with Jesus’ instruction to “ask in My name”, we obey Jesus, and then we have confidence when He says “that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son”.
The New Covenant word of God reminds us repeatedly of the importance of the name of Jesus, and we do well to remember it and to pray in the name of Jesus, e.g. “Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need” (Heb. 4:14–16). Amen!
A global prayer request. America and all nations of the world are in the direct line of fire from legions of anti-Christ evil spirits of Antichrist ascending from the pit and blanketing the world. Understand that no amount of prayer will stop this from occurring because it’s all part of God’s promised prophetic word for the end-times. And no, there will be no pretribulation rapture to spare or snatch anyone from the evil end-time events and seven-year tribulation that’s so near. Yet, God’s word in His Son Jesus is firm and sure. Now is the time to know what you believe about the testimony of Jesus who said He gathers His elect “Immediately after the tribulation” (Matt. 24: 29-31) and not before the tribulation; and He also said “He who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments, and I will not blot out his name from the Book of Life; but I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels” (Rev. 3:5). Now is the time to hear and be committed to what Jesus said, “But he who endures to the end shall be saved” (Matt. 24:13). Believe the testimony of Jesus and don’t be deceived, you’ll never regret it!
A personal prayer request. On September 30, 2025 I had a medical event that hospitalized me ten days. Since leaving the hospital I’ve been in recovery which has gone well until other symptoms developed, possibly from several medications. I’m blessed to have very good earthly physicians, who themselves are a gift from God. I’m trusting the love, mercy and grace of my Lord Jesus Christ to see me through this challenging time. I will post the TheFridayLetter.com as I feel able to continue research of biblical and current events relative to end-time biblical prophecy.
Until that great and glorious Day when we see Christ descending on the clouds of heaven at the resurrection rapture to gather together all Christ’s elect – “be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints” (Eph. 6:10–18).
Remember to make your prayers and requests in the name of Jesus, the name above all names! When we do that, we have confidence that we ask in obedience because it was Jesus who said, “whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son” (John 14:13). Jesus said, “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last … I, Jesus, have sent My angel to testify to you these things in the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, the Bright and Morning Star” (Rev. 22:13, 16). Believe Jesus!
