Underestimating Persia

Friday, April 10, 2026

As you read today’s Letter, keep this Scripture forefront in your mind: “For God has put it into their hearts to fulfill His purpose, to be of one mind, and to give their kingdom to the beast, until the words of God are fulfilled” (Rev. 17:17). Daily now world leaders descend deeper into chaos with bellicose rhetoric, threats, destruction, wars and rumors of wars, confusion, distrust, anxiety and ungodly lies. This debacle between Iran, Israel and the US can be laid squarely at the feet of ungodly Christ-denying Israel and her deceived Dispensational Zionist handlers and supporters.

Today, Iran is ancient Persia, an Islamic nation that denies Jesus Christ is the Son of God. And Israel is a nation of Judaism that equally denies Jesus Christ is the Son of God. As nations, both Iran and Israel deny Jesus Christ, the God true Christians worship and believe. And it’s ungodly that the US defends Christ-denying Israel, but wars against Christ-denying Iran. The reason is due to Dispensational Christianity denying many vital truths as Zionists deceive government officials to believe that God favors Israel over Iran. Zionists are sinfully partial with favoritism and have deceitfully influenced US leaders. But “there is no partiality with God” (Rom. 2:11).

Christ commanded, “love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven” (Matt. 5:44–45). But it’s obvious that Christ’s teachings are the farthest thing from the minds of US leaders. Yet the US, bowing to Israel and her deceived Zionist supporters, validate whatever ungodly Israel desires which is the total destruction of Iran. This video is of a Christian journalist who spoke to many Jews in Israel and the callous and bloodthirsty desires of many Israeli’s in government and private sector against innocent Palestinians is utterly shocking. I said before, when Israel’s evils are found out the whole world will turn against her, Zech. 14:2.

US leaders underestimate Persia because they’re ignorant of the spiritual warfare in heavenly realms between God and Satan, whereas true believers know “we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand” (Eph. 6:12–13). That’s not optional for victory. Militarily, America is superior to Iran, but that isn’t the issue. Spiritually, Iran has evil principalities that governed it for millennia with hatred, while many US believers are mired in the love-of-money wealth and prosperity propaganda led by thousands of false teachers like President Trump’s shameful deceiver, Pastor Paula White.

The physical response of a nation’s leadership and people is determined by the spiritual powers that control them. Iran is still controlled by evil principalities, as is America and Israel and other nations of this world. A prophet witnessed this eye-opening reality in Persia when he prayed to the Lord God for an answer, and an angel from God finally came, saying:Do not fear, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart to understand, and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard; and I have come because of your words. But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me twenty-one days; and behold, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, for I had been left alone there with the kings of Persia … Do you know why I have come to you? And now I must return to fight with the prince of Persia; and when I have gone forth, indeed the prince of Greece will come” (Dan. 10:12–13, 20). This is so revealing!

Nations are ruled by wicked principalities that prey on proud hearts and minds of people who give them access. But we Spirit-led believers discern the physical from the spiritual; we discern powers of darkness from powers of light and righteousness; we discern God’s will from the will of man; we resort to deep fervent prayer; we pray to the Lord Jesus “Thy will, not mine”; and we entrust ourselves to the Lord God in Christ, not man. “For though we walk in the flesh we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds” (2 Cor. 10:3–4). Accordingly, God said “Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish” (Gal. 5:16–17). Wicked principalities that rule nations and their military leaders is as it’s always been.

As much as I admire some of President Trump’s domestic achievements, I discern that he is spiritually blind, and that his Zionist spiritual advisors are equally blind. They have little to no idea of the spiritual forces that rule Iran; the same forces that ruled in Daniel the prophet’s day. President Trump assured the world this war will be over very quickly. But that proved false as he now warns of bombing Iran’s bridges and power plants if Iran doesn’t abide by the flimsy cease fire and restore cargo ship passage in the Strait of Hormuz. Destroying Iran’s infrastructure will decimate innocent civilians and create a catastrophic loss of life, possibly even spawning WWIII.

Know this: the power of God’s holy angels who didn’t leave their first estate, and the powers of Satan’s fallen angels who did, is beyond human understanding. For example, in the days of King Hezekiah the Assyrian army came against Israel,And it came to pass on a certain night that the angel of the LORD went out, and killed in the camp of the Assyrians one hundred and eighty-five thousand; and when people arose early in the morning, there were the corpses—all dead” (2 Kings 19:35). One holy angel of God by himself killed 185,000 Assyrian soldiers! Now, before you get excited and cite that as an example of why we should kill our enemies – that was God’s sovereign decision of judgment. Mere fallen human beings are not God and we must never think that we have God’s sovereign power or authority to kill an enemy. It’s God’s righteous judgment that slaughtered those enemy soldiers. God is the sovereign Judge, not man, but few discern that.

God’s word says of holy angels, “Are they not all ministering spirits sent forth to minister for those who will inherit salvation? Therefore we must give the more earnest heed to the things we have heard, lest we drift away. For if the word spoken through angels proved steadfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just reward, how shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation, which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed to us by those who heard Him, God also bearing witness both with signs and wonders, with various miracles, and gifts of the Holy Spirit, according to His own will?”(Heb. 1:14; 2:1–4). If we put aside the commands and teachings of Christ to take up the warring dictates of this evil world, what hope shall we have except to hope only in this temporal fallen flesh and its rebellious ungodly ways?

In regard to our physical enemies, God’s word says to every professing believer: “Repay no one evil for evil. [War is returning evil for evil] Have regard for good things in the sight of all men. If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men. Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath; for it is written, ‘Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,’ says the Lord. Therefore If your enemy is hungry, feed him; If he is thirsty, give him a drink; For in so doing you will heap coals of fire on his head.’ Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good” (Rom. 12:17–21). Is that too much of Christ to ask of every believer, considering that Christ suffered and died that we might by grace through faith be delivered from the fallen uncircumcised heart of flesh governed by principalities of death to enemies? Not at all!

Last weekend US military forces rescued a downed airman behind enemy lines in Iran. A Fox News article is quoted, “The CIA picked up a distress signal, passing the intelligence on to the Pentagon and White House, which ordered the immediate rescue mission, according to sources.” (Source) I’m thankful the airman was rescued. The article ends by quoting Trump cursing vilely: “Open the F–in’ Strait, you crazy bastards, or you’ll be living in Hell – JUST WATCH! Praise be to Allah”. Really?! What a spiritually bankrupt profanity-laced rant ending with “Praise be to Allah”?! However “out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks” (Matt. 12:34). So much for Trump’s Christian faith. But then, to defend Christ-denying Israel, it’s par for the course!

And Secretary of War Pete Hegseth prayed “let every round find its mark against the enemies of righteousness [as if the US is somehow a standard of righteousness?!] and our great nation.” And for our troops, “Give them wisdom in every decision, endurance for the trial ahead, unbreakable unity, and overwhelming violence of action against those who deserve no mercy and break the teeth of the ungodly.” (Source) That prayer is spiritually bankrupt. Not a single person deserves mercy, but Jesus in His redeeming love, without partiality, extends His mercy to all who will by grace through faith believe. But Pete Hegseth in partiality believes enemies “deserve no mercy”.

US leaders and President Trump underestimate Iran, ancient days Persia, having Russia, China and North Korea as allies. This war had to come to further fulfill the end-times. But it is not for believers to join with the warring world to try to bring about a physical change that’s controlled by evil principalities. That’s elementary. But, “The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much” (James 5:16). But national leaders are not of that kind. Thus, “Why do the nations rage, and the people plot a vain thing? The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD and against His Anointed, saying, Let us break Their bonds in pieces And cast away Their cords from us” (Psa. 2:1–3). Rulers of this world consider God’s rules as “bonds” and “cords” to be broken “and cast away”. That’s because they cannot discern between wicked or holy spiritual entities and powers that govern mankind’s physical response.

I ask you, dear friends and readers, where will President Trump’s “America First” policies lead you and your loved ones? Is it not an hundred fold better to say “Christ First” policies that have power to save unto eternal life? Indeed, the latter is true! Have you taken time to consider your sins and mine that nailed Jesus to the Cross of Calvary? Have you experienced the joy knowing that your sins, unbelief and rebellion are under the blood of the Lamb of God? Do you trust in God and His Christ, or in the military might of the failing United States of America and every other nation under the sun? Before you answer those questions, please listen to this then pray. Trust God and His wisdom. Choose Jesus. Discern right from wrong. Act in light of eternity.

My second book “ON EAGLES’ WINGS” explains in detail how to know Christ and find God’s Bozrah sheepfold of safety and place of provision for the last 1,260 days of the great tribulation.
