There’s a social saying that one doesn’t discuss “politics and religion” when with friends or family. The reason is obvious, both subjects can be divisive to the point of separating not just friends but even family members. But in the near future both subjects will be openly embraced by the global masses because there is coming a political figure of high intrigue Scripture calls the Antichrist and he will politically unite the world’s religions into one. And because religions have a well-established history of division, when that political leader unites world religions as one the unsaved world will rejoice claiming religious peace and safety rather than division and religious wars. That will be a pivotal point for the end of this present age because God’s Holy Spirit said “when they say, ‘Peace and safety!’ then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape” (1 Thess. 5:3). We are nearing that point.
It’s important that true Christians understand that that one world religion is now surging toward its final goal of global unity. And leading that charge is none other than Pope Francis, the one in the world’s eyes who represents Christianity, but without comprehension that Catholicism is not the true Christianity but a counterfeit! That Pope Francis finds unity with leaders of Islam and other false religions who reject that Jesus Christ is God’s Son is not unexpected, revealing his anti-Christ heart. I don’t say that lightly, but with great sadness because Pope Francis leads millions of otherwise well-intentioned but deceived people in idolatrous traditions and lies. He’s acting like all his predecessors. True Christianity firmly rejects idolatrous worship. It also rejects forced acceptance, but history reveals that Roman Catholicism with malevolent violence killed millions who rejected Catholicism’s false and idolatrous forms of Christianity whose murderous killings were largely stopped by the 16th Century Reformation when the corrupt papacy became exposed for what it really was. Since the Reformation, Catholicism has had to put on a kinder, gentler facade for the public, but at heart remains committed to its idolatrous mandates.
In the coming Tribulation, the world will once again see the cruel version of Catholicism as the Vatican mandates its one world religion…its revised version of global unity where all religions are comingled into one. “Then one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls came and talked with me, saying to me, ‘Come, I will show you the judgment of the great harlot who sits on many waters, with whom the kings of the earth committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth were made drunk with the wine of her fornication.’ So he carried me away in the Spirit into the wilderness. And I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast which was full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns. The woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet, and adorned with gold and precious stones and pearls, having in her hand a golden cup full of abominations and the filthiness of her fornication. And on her forehead a name was written: MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH. I saw the woman, drunk with the blood of the saints and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus. And when I saw her, I marveled with great amazement” (Rev. 17: 1–6).
Do a computer search for “arrayed in purple and scarlet”, then click on images. The majority of images are of Vatican royalty: the pope, his Cardinals, and bishops, arrayed in purple and scarlet. It’s a great blessing that God, in His love and grace, gave us the physical colors of the head of that one world religion. The one world religion will be the same as the fourth beast-kingdom of Dan. 2:40 and Dan. 7:7. It is indeed, the “fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, exceedingly strong. It had huge iron teeth; it was devouring, breaking in pieces, and trampling the residue with its feet. It was different from all the beasts that were before it, and it had ten horns” (Dan. 7:7).
The news from the first link above that Pope Francis has created “fraternity” with Islam, is now four years old. He has been making many more abominable inroads since with other unbelievers. But Christ said “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me” (John 14:6). Yet, Pope Francis says that followers of Islam and Judaism worship the same God as Christians! That’s the lie of the ages! If a person does not believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and that God raised Him from the dead, judgment and condemnation awaits such a person. Jesus also said, “And whoever will not receive you nor hear you, [when you preach the gospel] when you depart from there, shake off the dust under your feet as a testimony against them. Assuredly, I say to you, it will be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment than for that city!” (Mark 6:11). God has reserved for Himself the judgment of all unbelievers, but commands true Christians to preach the gospel of repentance by faith in Christ! But the false unity of Pope Francis makes him more accountable to God for leading unbelievers of Islam, Judaism and other false world religions in believing we’re all brothers and sisters “going to the same heaven” as Pope Francis declared. The papacy and its Roman Catholicism are the epitome of deceptions and religious lies. Yet, even many gullible evangelical Christians are being told by their own deceived leadership that they need to accept Pope Francis as their pope! But without true faith in Christ, people have no Advocate with God the Father, and will suffer eternal separation in outer darkness where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
It’s spiritually imperative that Christians fully understand what’s developing right now with regard to the one world religion. Pope Francis has deceived many Christian leaders to believe that Jews of Judaism and Muslims of Islam worship the same God as Christians. Even men like Rick Warren of Saddleback Church peddles the same heresy. NO WE DO NOT! Salvation unto eternal life is by grace through faith in Christ ALONE, and anyone who tells you otherwise is a liar. We will either believe the Holy Bible is God’s Word or not. God gives us that choice. Jews of Judaism know exactly who Christ is, but hatefully reject Him as the true Messiah. Muslims of Islam know exactly who Jesus Christ is, but also vehemently deny that He is the Son of God. And Pope Francis of Catholicism knows exactly who Jesus Christ is, but has sold Him out for “peace and safety” with those who deny Christ. Ever since Catholicism was exposed for what it really is by the reformers of the 16th Century Reformation, it has been plotting its return with an covert vengeance. It’s my belief that Pope Francis is chief among the spiritual deceivers on earth, comingling demons with Jesus Christ, and woe to those who follow his anti-Christ leadership.
Scripture clearly reveals that true Christianity, resulting in eternal life, is highly exclusive. And the reason most of the world rejects that truth is that it demands that its unbelief and wickedness be “inclusive” as acceptable to God. But true faith in Christ says just the opposite, for God’s Spirit said “But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death” (Rev. 21:8). God also commands: “Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness? And what accord has Christ with Belial?” (2 Cor. 6:14–15). Keep the faith.
