Jesus Christ commanded “do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell” (Matt. 10:28). Yet, we live at a time when many Christians in fear of false narratives pushed by globalist elites yield to the mandates of totalitarian authorities now replacing many governments. As true believers our bodies do not belong to any government entity, but to the Lord Jesus who purchased our salvation, “Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?” (1 Cor. 6:19). So, when this next man-made pandemic ravages humanity, do not give yourself to the elite’s vaccine mandates which will once again gravely damage one’s body which he or she has been given by God. Trust God and do not comply.
Many people due to the roll-out of a sinister global anti-human agenda find themselves sinking into depression, anxiety and fear. As the link states, a global rise in depression and anxiety was caused by COVID-19 and its brutal impact on societies. The National Library of Medicine said “This review provides an estimate of the global prevalence of depression and anxiety symptoms among doctors, based on analysis of evidence from the first year of the COVID-19 pandemic.” So, even doctors suffered depression and anxiety. Of course none of this is surprising given the lockdowns, face-masking, social distancing and untested vaccines mandated by the elite which delivered not only many adverse reactions, but also much death, and those deaths yet continue. Of course, everyone toeing the line of political correctness says this is the stuff of conspiracies. But we who know God’s end-time word and discern Dan. 2:40 and Dan. 7:7, together with The Revelation of Jesus Christ, know this world is in the crosshairs of end-time destructions that the eternal Kingdom of God be established, and that totalitarian elites and their wicked agendas be ultimately destroyed by almighty God in Christ. Elites have the next pandemic already planned, but don’t you comply! I believe 2024 will bring in worse and deadlier lockdowns than before.
And sadly, in the midst of all this global depression, anxiety and fear, an article 15 months ago by The Christian Post has this headline: “CNN warns of ‘rapture anxiety,’ claims ex-Christians struggle with ‘trauma’ over End Times teaching”. The article says in part “CNN points to social media chatter from “exvangelicals” — former Evangelical Christians who have since turned to unbelief — who were subjected to “violent rapture-themed films” or spent their childhood years “crying themselves to sleep thinking about people and pets that would be left behind when the end finally came.” That statement is very true as thousands of young people suffer depression, anxiety and fear under the pulpit-pounding and fear-mongering of dispensational ministers who warned of the imminent rapture. I know. I listened. I was there 60 years ago. And what was the fruit of that false and hopeless pre-trib rapture message? Many, in fear, couldn’t wait to run to the altar to allegedly “accept Christ”, for they were made to believe the rapture could occur at any moment and if “you weren’t saved you’d be left behind to suffer the hellish tribulation!”
And because of that rabidly false dispensational pre-trib rapture teaching, some now depart the Christian faith in offense. Do you know what Jesus said about one who causes one of these little ones (and we’re all little ones) to sin? He said, “But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to sin, it would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were drowned in the depth of the sea. Woe to the world because of offenses! For offenses must come, but woe to that man by whom the offense comes!” (Matt. 18:6–7). So, what’s occurring today is depression, anxiety and fear caused by both the unbelieving world (no surprise) and by ministers of the gospel (shockingly) who preach an erroneous pre-trib rapture message that’s caused some to depart from the faith. Unfounded fear can absolutely produce such a reaction.
But God’s truths do not cause unfounded fears. Again, I emphasize, God’s truths do not cause unfounded fears. God’s truths preached in love cause personal introspection leading to new-birth faith in Jesus Christ. Quite opposite the fearmongering of the pre-trib rapture narrative, “God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind” (2 Tim. 1:7). A faith unto belief should never be driven by fear, yet that’s often the fruit of the dispensational pre-trib rapture narrative, more often than not making decisions for Christ out of fear. But “There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love” (1 John 4:18). Pre-trib preachers do their best to scare people into decisions for Christ, and mistakenly think themselves justified. But they’re absolutely wrong and have caused much depression, anxiety and fear. God’s truths of the end-times are truths of hope, but requires that one prepare in the testimony of Jesus Christ which dispensationalist’s reject, but they do so to their own judgment for aiding Satan in his efforts to destroy the testimony of Jesus.
