70: The Number of Fullness

Friday, January 13, 2017

With God the number 70 means fullness, or the whole. 70 nations came from Noah’s three sons, Gen. 10. 70 people from the house of Jacob went down to Egypt, Gen. 46:27. 70 elders of Israel helped Moses, Num. 11:16. Israel was 70 years in Babylon’s captivity, 2 Chr. 36:21. And there’s the end-times 70 weeks prophecy of Dan. 9:24–27. Biblically, 70 equals the whole.

70 nations descended from Shem, Ham and Japheth, the sons of Noah. God said, “These were the families of the sons of Noah, according to their generations, in their nations; and from these the nations were divided on the earth after the flood” (Gen. 10:32). Those original 70 nations are symbolic of the fullness, or the whole of all nations on the earth today.

In two days, “High ranking officials from 70 nations of the world will gather in Paris on January 15th in an attempt to force Israel to accept a two-state solution with the Palestinian Authority. By so doing, they will be fulfilling a momentous Biblical prophecy foretold thousands of years ago.” (Breaking Israel News 01/05/2017)

End-time Scripture will be fulfilled, “For behold, Your enemies make a tumult; and those who hate You have lifted up their head. They have taken crafty counsel against Your people, and consult together against Your sheltered ones. They have said, “Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation, that the name of Israel may be remembered no more”” (Psa. 83:2–4).

“When Israeli statesman Shimon Peres passed away in September, leaders and dignitaries from 70 nations gathered in Jerusalem to pay their last respects”, reported Breaking Israel News. “The symbolism is no mere coincidence; the very same number of representatives will gather in Paris, but this time to deny the Jewish connection to the land of Israel.”

“There is no doubt this is a fulfillment of the prophecies that in the end of days, all the nations will come out against Israel”, noted Rabbi Apisdorf. “1,000 years ago, Rashi [an 11th century French commentator] said that in the future, the nations of the world will come and say we stole the Land of Israel.”

In fact, it’s been widely but falsely reported that Israeli’s stole the land of Israel, but God gave them that land, “as an everlasting possession” (Gen. 17:8). On Jan. 3rd The Jerusalem Post said, “Palestinians put hope in Paris conference in ‘last chance’ for two-states”. The article asserts, “The Palestinian leadership has lobbied vigorously for the conference for more than 18 months.”

The Paris conference occurs just five days before the end of President Obama’s term in office. It’s unreasonable to assume the timing here is coincidental. It appears this was scheduled while President Obama can yet effect an anti-Israel outcome before President-Elect Donald Trump is sworn into office January 20, 2017.

Note also that the 70th anniversary of the 1947 United Nations Partition Plan For Palestine that cordoned off land for both Israel and Palestine, in Israel, occurs November 2017. That the United Nations officially recognized the State of Israel 70 years ago is no small thing, and carries with it great prophetic fulfillment of end-time Scriptures.

Friend, if you have not repented of your sins and unbelief, and made Jesus Christ Lord of your life by new birth conversion faith, I invite you even now to repent and confess Jesus Christ, the only name by which is salvation unto eternal life, for Jesus said, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God” (John 3:3). Time is running out.

We now face the times of the end, for which Jesus said, “But take heed to yourselves, lest your hearts be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness, and cares of this life, and that Day come on you unexpectedly. For it will come as a snare on all those who dwell on the face of the whole earth” (Luke 21:34–35). This occurred once before at the destruction of the ancient world.

Noah was a preacher of righteousness, and as he took about 70 years to build the ark, he warned the people of his day of the coming destruction. But people mocked and disbelieved him, right up to the last day Noah, his wife, his sons and their wives, entered the ark, and God shut the door! Then the earth convulsed, fountains burst forth and it rained 40 days and 40 nights.

God said of many today, “For this they willfully forget: that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of water and in the water, by which the world that then existed perished, being flooded with water. But the heavens and the earth which are now preserved by the same word, are reserved for fire until the day of judgment” (2 Peter 3:5–7).

Though floods occur here and there, the earth will never again be destroyed by a flood, for thus was God’s rainbow covenant with Noah. But the earth, today, is reserved for destruction by fire, “in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up” (2 Peter 3:10).

Consequently, God asks, “Therefore, since all these things will be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness, looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be dissolved, being on fire, and the elements will melt with fervent heat?” (2 Peter 3:11–12). Are you spiritually prepared to endure till then?

That destruction begins with the onset of the first trumpet judgment of the 7-year tribulation when, “The first angel sounded: and hail and fire followed, mingled with blood, and they were thrown to the earth. And a third of the trees were burned up, and all green grass was burned up” (Rev. 8:7). Barring an early death, we will all see this, for ours is the last generation of this age.

Jesus Christ warned that, “as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be” (Matt. 24:37). But not many in the church want to know God’s warnings of end-time truths, desiring rather to play happy-church and be told how wonderful things are. Amazingly, millions of Christians have been taught to disregard Jesus’ end-time teachings, and they love it that way!

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ, please hear Jesus’ warning about our days, “Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many” (Matt. 24:11). Dear saints, America is flooded with false prophets! Many deceivers declare that America’s greatest days of wealth, prosperity, respect and military prowess are just ahead under a, ‘President’ Donald Trump. BUT THAT’S A LIE!

God has a written, well-documented biblical plan for the end-times, and His plan will not be thwarted by a ‘President’ Donald Trump, any other world leader or false teacher. We must hold to God’s Word for things to come. We must know the signs of the times in which we live. And God warned that, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge” (Hos. 4:6).

Consider: America has not been humbled or repented to Christ Jesus for her crimes against humanity, for her murder of nearly 70 million infants, for instigating wars, for using nuclear WMD’s against innocent moms, dads, children and grandparents in WWII. Her pride remains.

Why would God entrust America with increased wealth when she squandered past wealth entrusted to her – she is now the greatest debtor nation on earth! Why would God further bless America when she has cursed Him in the public square, while her lawgivers worship the ancient god Molech and praise women for offering their unborn children to him? It’s an abomination!

“to whom much is given, from him much will be required” (Luke 12:48). America has been given much, but yet she mocks God, murders infants, honors same-sex marriage and scourges public expressions of Christian faith, while protecting Islam. I believe the only reason God’s judgment has not set harshly upon America is for the number of saints herein, for that was the rationale God gave Abraham concerning the destruction of the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah.

In two days 70 nations will be arrayed against Israel at the Paris, Israeli-Palestinian conference. The desire of those nations is to force Israel into an official land-for-peace agreement based on the June 4, 1967 borders, which would officially divide God’s land according to Joel 3:2.

God promised Abram, “I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who curses you” (Gen. 12:3). Much proof exists that when a nation harms Israel, judgment follows. Consider: if these 70 nations, symbolic of the whole world, harm Israel, it follows then that the whole world would fall under God’s divine curse. This could be the catalyst to Antichrist’s, “covenant with many” (Dan. 9:27), and the start of the 7-year tribulation in the fall harvest months of 2017.

“In an interview with Israeli Channel 2TV, Obama said that he did not understand the “sense of betrayal” that Israeli leaders and citizens had expressed when he went against longstanding US policy to support Israel’s interests at the UN, calling the outraged reactions “hyperbole” and suggesting that they were a ploy to remove scrutiny from so-called settlements.”

President Barack Obama summed up his thoughts in that Israeli Channel 2TV interview with these proud words: “The fact of the matter is that I’m president until January 20, and I have an obligation to do what I think is right”. (Breaking Israel News 01/10/2017) I say, beware!

Whatever the outcome of the 70 nations Paris conference on January 15, 2017, God’s end-time clock will be advanced. Christians who truly love Christ and discern the signs of the times will be attentive to these things. Pray for a deeper love of Christ, for faith, wisdom and discernment. Believe, “the testimony of Jesus Christ” (Rev. 1:9). Pray for the church. Pray for the lost.

  1. Yes. Ezekiel 37 continues and no power of man can twart God’s purposes. The Lord foils the plans of the nations; he twarts the purposes of the peoples. But the plans of the Lord stand firm forever, the purposes of his heart through all generations. Psalm 33:11.
