Right Pronouns Matter

Friday, May 26, 2023

Let’s get this right from the start – “right” pronouns matter. The personal pronouns of the two God-given genders matter, e.g., male = he, him, and his; female = she, her, and hers. But often, LGBTQ+ personal pronouns are plural, e.g., they, them and theirs. But why? And plural what? In Mark 5 Jesus met a demon-possessed man and when Jesus asked the demon his name, the demon replied “My name is Legion; [plural] for we are many”, [plural]. Though there were many demon spirits, one identified with a plural pronoun, and not a singular. Today’s societies are rife with “Legion” of demon spirits as God increasingly withdraws His restraint on evil. But the good news of that Mark 5 demon-possessed man is that, Jesus commanded the demon to come out, and He healed the man saying “Go home to your friends, and tell them what great things the Lord has done for you, and how He has had compassion on you” (Mark 5:19).

LGBTQ+ demons are “Legion” as in Lot’s day, and the men or women they inhabit speak from their hearts. Jesus said “A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth evil. For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks” (Luke 6:45). [My bold emphasis] What resides in the heart comes out of the mouth. If multiple demons inhabit a person, any one of them, as exampled in the case of “Legion” in Mark 5, can or will deceivably identify in the plural, typical of gender pronoun wars instigated by LGBTQ+ people throughout world societies.

The debauchery of evil lifestyles, wanton lawlessness, politically motivated lies, and deceivers of this wicked world will soon suffer the judgements of Almighty God, unless they sincerely repent. That’s the promise of God, and He will dispense His judgments according to His Word as He did in the days of Lot. Fewer and fewer are they who can even tolerate such prophetic truths. Now is the time to decide exactly where and with whom you stand. Some have readily said, “Well, God is on my side!” No, He’s not, Jos. 5:13–14. A much better confession would be to say, “I’m on God’s side”. God is not on “our side” because we’re all fallible, we must be on His side, doing life according to His “it is written” Word. A departure from that is to go the way of the world.

In a May 23, 2023 article by the Christian Post entitled “Franklin Graham warns Christian broadcasters of ‘coming storm’”, he said “I believe there is a coming storm that we all need to be ready for. The world has deteriorated so quickly. We cannot be deceived and we can’t be fooled. We need to get ready and be prepared…They [meaning the unbelieving world] want us to shut our mouths, they don’t want to hear from us. If you’re not going to preach the Gospel, you don’t have anything to worry about…If you’re not going to talk about sin, you’re not going to have anything to worry about; but if you’re going to proclaim the Gospel, they’re going to try to shut you up.” In his concerns about the condition of our world, Franklin Graham is absolutely correct.

A May 23, 2023 Fox News article regarding the same National Religious Broadcasters (NRB) meeting in which Franklin Graham was the keynote speaker, the article said “Rev. Graham also said that ‘every demon from hell’ has been ‘turned loose’ in our culture today.” Those of us with a true love for God, for His Word, with Godly discernment and sensitivity in the prophetic truths that identify the end of this age, we know that Graham is right again. The unbelieving world, and even many so-called Christian churches, have become steeped in ever-increasing sins of equity, diversity, and inclusion as God’s restraint on demons from hell is steadily being withdrawn.

The forces of evil we see building right now are preparing the way for “the man of sin…the son of perdition” (2 Thess. 2:3), the one of whom the Apostle John said “Little children, it is the last hour; and as you have heard that the Antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come, by which we know that it is the last hour” (1 John 2:18). Our world has changed radically for the worse in the last decade, but especially with the onset of COVID-19 which was a springboard for lying evil spirits working in the hearts and minds of men and women to mandate the subjugation of people worldwide. And what’s so shocking is, the number of professing Christians and church leaders who went along with wicked government mandates. And they did so lacking knowledge of God’s prophetic Word, lack of spiritual discernment and unable to read the signs of the times.

The good news of the Gospel is that Christ made a plan of salvation for all who want to be on God’s side during these now-present end times. Christ’s salvation involves each of us acting upon His grace by faith and not by works. Jesus’ salvation will deliver from Satan’s kingdom of darkness, and bring us into the glorious Kingdom of Jesus Christ, who died and rose again for the forgiveness of whosoever will by faith believe in the shed blood of Christ for the remission of sins. These end-times will become bitterly difficult with persecution and suffering of those who love and hold to the testimony of Jesus, but by true faith in Him we will gain eternal life.

Here’s God’s promise, “that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation” (Rom. 10:9–10). But if you choose eternal life by true faith in Christ, the world, and even many so-called Christian churches, will persecute you in word and deed, but God will strengthen you by His Holy Spirit, singular, and not many spirits which is the way of the lost world. And Jesus told us plainly of the coming trials and tribulation of the end-times, saying “But he who endures to the end shall be saved” (Matt. 24:13). Make that your goal. Set your sights on enduring to the end no matter how much trouble and persecution the unbelieving world brings against you.

Yes, “right” personal pronouns matter. There are only two God-given genders. Make certain that you and your loved ones are inhabited by, not multiple spirits, but One Spirit, the Holy Spirit of the living God in Christ. And for those who surrender to the “Legion” of many evil spirits, don’t argue with them, but pray for the person in whom those evil spirits have taken up residence that he or she be delivered from “their” evil influence. When unbelievers and LGBTQ+ proponents want to convince you of multiple genders, know that “they” are speaking the language of Satan and his demons. But again, the healing power of Jesus and His Name is just as powerful today as it was in millennia past. Bring as many to salvation faith in Christ as will come. Speak the Word of God boldly without fear. “And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell” (Matt. 10:28).
