Choose God’s Truth

As the wicked Israeli / Hamas war spawns the death of thousands of people on both sides with tens of thousands more wounded, it’s appalling to see professing Christians, pastors and clergy publically affirm that, “We stand in solidarity with Israel”. They’ve chosen sides between two warring peoples who both deny the Son of God, the One who died for the sins of all who will by grace through faith believe Jesus Christ unto salvation and eternal life. Christians are called to be ambassadors of Christ, not in solidarity with the ungodly and wicked who deny the Son of God!

But the reason many Christians have no qualms standing in solidarity with wicked, unbelieving, Christ-hating Israel, is because they’ve been led by false shepherds who trump traditions of men, namely, Dispensational Theology, above God’s Word. False teachers do violence to God’s Word by threatening those not standing in solidarity with Israel, and in their error quote God’s promise to Abram: “I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who curses you” (Gen. 12:3). Of course, no one wants to risk being cursed by God, yet that’s the error they set forth. But in true faith it’s imperative to discern that God made that promise to obedient God-honoring Abram, the father of our faith, and not disobedient, whoring Israel whom God gave “a certificate of divorce” (Jer. 3:8) after she rejected the rule of God in her self-destructive evils, unbelief and harlotry.

So, what we have today is a large percentage of professing but grossly misled believers standing in solidarity with unbelieving Israel, the very people who in their religion curse the Son of God! How do you think that will go when “we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad” (2 Cor. 5:10). What millions of unsuspecting, ignorant and non-discerning Christians are experiencing in this last generation is God’s promise that “the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables” (2 Tim. 4:3–5). Because of the fulfillment of that prophetic Word, many professing believers stand in solidarity with wicked, Christ-hating, Israel, unable to discern that they have placed themselves in the camp of those who God said He would curse in His promise to Abram. It’s unconscionable that blood-bought true believers stand in solidarity with those of wicked unbelieving Israel to who God gave “a certificate of divorce”, and with those who were “cut off” (Rom. 11:22) from God. In many respects the organized church of this last generation has become a mirror image of ancient Israel. And God does not change, Mal. 3:6 and Heb. 13:8.

In the Words describing each person’s choice, the Holy Spirit said through an ancient leader of Israel: “And if it seems evil to you to serve the LORD, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD” (Jos. 24:15). That’s the choice yet set before every professing Christian. In Joshua’s day, ancient Israel was already then turning away from God, and God set before them choice, the same choice that God still sets before every professing believer. Why would God’s blood-bought saints choose to stand with any of the ungodly, unbelieving, Christ-denying groups of people? It would be due to false teachers seeking to defend their traditions of men rather than God’s Word.
