The US is ripe for God’s judgment; its immorality, infant murders by abortion, and lawlessness promoted by President Joe Biden. But Joe Biden, I believe, isn’t in charge of anything, certainly nothing presidential, but is the cognitively impaired puppet of Barack Obama serving his third unelected term. They have no qualms making a public show of anti-Christ hatred. They couldn’t care less that God said “Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall” (Prov. 16:18). Thus, they celebrate pride in the LGBTQ+ Pride agenda. The evil anti-God leadership of our governing officials I believe may well bring the wrath of God upon this nation as never seen before. And the great solar eclipse of April 8th, completing the ‘X’ path of totality which began with another solar eclipse seven years ago in August 2017, might just be God’s warning for the US to repent or suffer His judgments, because America has freely had the gospel for centuries.
Pray with me that spiritual eyes and hearts of the lost be opened, that they no longer stumble in deception, darkness and unbelief; and that not only our national leaders but all unbelievers fall upon the Rock of Christ before that Rock crushes them. Jesus strongly warned unbelieving Jews of His day and yet warns all unbelievers: “The stone which the builders rejected has become the chief cornerstone. This was the LORD’s doing, and it is marvelous in our eyes … And whoever falls on this stone will be broken; [in humble repentance] but on whomever it falls, it will grind him to powder” (Matt. 21:42–44). There is a Day coming soon when Jesus Christ “the chief cornerstone” will crush His enemies, and in that Day it will be too late to repent or be saved. Therefore, “He says, ‘In an acceptable time I have heard you, and in the day of salvation I have helped you.’ Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation” (2 Cor. 6:2).
The US and many churches are a replica of ancient O.T. Israel, led by kings and leaders who have no fear of God; and so went the people. One example of many in that regard comes from the account of King Baasha. “In the third year of Asa king of Judah, Baasha the son of Ahijah became king over all Israel in Tirzah, and reigned twenty-four years. He did evil in the sight of the LORD, and walked in the way of Jeroboam, and in his sin by which he had made Israel sin” (1 Kings 15:33–34). The phrase “He did evil in the sight of the LORD” describes most of the kings of Israel and Judah wherein they “made Israel sin”. And so it remains to this day. Proud government and church leaders bow to sinful cultural desires and find common ground with it, causing the people to sin against God and to depart from His word. This is not new, Eccl. 1:9.
Solar eclipses can and do signal impending judgment from God. In this well-researched article by Epic Archaeology it states that “On June 15, 763 BC ancient Nineveh witnessed a full solar eclipse [9]. The astronomical calculations of this date are certain. Relevant to the Jonah story and the repentance of Nineveh and the king, is the role that eclipses played in ancient Mesopotamia and in particular, Assyrian culture.” When in the beginning God created the sun, moon and stars in the heavens, He said “let them be for signs and seasons, and for days and years” (Gen. 1:14), and so they were then and remain to this very day. And of all people on earth, we true believers should be watchful and discerning of those signs and seasons and allow historical biblical truths guide our beliefs and understanding that God, in fact, warns people via solar and lunar eclipses.
Consider, God said to Jonah, “Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and cry out against it; for their wickedness has come up before Me. But Jonah arose to flee to Tarshish from the presence of the LORD” (Jonah 1:2–3). Jonah ran away from God’s word! Similarly, America’s brazen evils have come up before God. And similarly, most preachers have also run away from God’s word, refusing to warn of God’s impending judgment. But after Jonah suffered three days in the belly of a giant fish, he repented. After that, “the word of the LORD came to Jonah the second time, saying, ‘Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and preach to it the message that I tell you … And Jonah began to enter the city on the first day’s walk. Then he cried out and said, ‘Yet forty days, and Nineveh shall be overthrown!’” (Jonah 3:1–4). Nineveh’s king and people repented and the city spared. But today many national leaders and preachers are unrepentant, seeking rather the praise of men and promoting traditions of men that make God’s word of no effect.
Is the eclipse of Monday, April 8, 2024 and its completion of a giant ‘X’ over America a sign of God’s imminent judgment? Could it be true that yet forty days and America will be overthrown? Only God knows. But right now many locations along the path of totality have issued warnings. Headlines warn of cellular phone disruptions; and chaos at hundreds of airports; of the National Guard to be deployed; and some US school closures; and declaring state of emergency. Eclipses in the US have come and gone, but none with this level of fear. Might this eclipse herald a mega earthquake? A massive earthquake would certainly be fitting of a biblical judgment. Adding to April’s uncertain mayhem is the fact that the eastern part of the US will be invaded by trillions of cicadas, an event “which occurs only once every 221 years” according to livescience.com.
Might there be another astronomical event for which we the people have not been told the truth? Consider that God said of the end-times: “Therefore I will shake the heavens, and the earth will move out of her place, in the wrath of the LORD of hosts and in the day of His fierce anger” (Isa. 13:13). What would move the earth out of her place? Well, this would: “Then the second angel sounded: And something like a great mountain burning with fire was thrown into the sea, and a third of the sea became blood. And a third of the living creatures in the sea died, and a third of the ships were destroyed” (Rev. 8:8–9). Or, the eclipse might herald the utter removal of peace of the Second Seal; or the Third Seal famine; or much death by nuclear war of the Fourth Seal. In any event, consider with all solemnity God’s warning to Nineveh: “Yet forty days, and Nineveh shall be overthrown!” Is that warning also for the US? God has waited for America’s churches, people and leaders to repent, but will they? If not, the next forty days just may reveal judgment.
Believe it or not, but simultaneously occurring with the eclipse of Monday, April 8, 2024, will come the Devil Comet scientifically known as the 12/P Pons–Brooks comet having “an orbital period of 71.3 years”. Make no mistake, this is yet another rare appearance in the sky. Might this comet be bringing with it a disaster the government knows about but hasn’t told we the people? I don’t think that’s highly likely, but yet entirely possible. Given the reckless disregard for biblical truth and Christ’s salvation and sanctity of human life by the US government leaders and half the population, I would not be surprised if by reason of our technologies via satellites and more, that governing officials may know of an imminent mortal danger to the people, but conceal the truth.
