Discerning Our Enemies

Friday, May 3, 2024

God warned us throughout His prophetic end-time word that as the times of the end of this age drew near, evil people would grow worse and worse. We’re there. It’s everywhere. There is no hiding from it. Western cultures have become toxic. Unless one toes the line of radically liberal leftist ideologies bolstered by the corporate media, then one is branded unfit to be heard, whose opinions and thoughts must be silenced and utterly canceled. And whether Christians know it or not this end-time rebellion and depravity against all that’s right and good will prevail in this age. In breath-taking swaths, antisemitism is surging as demonic spirits sow their hatred. On a global scale mankind’s descent into wars, rebellion and perverse evils will increase until Christ returns to establish His global rule “with a rod of iron” (Psa. 2:9, Rev. 2:27, Rev. 12:5 and Rev. 19:15).

Government leaders of Western nations are promoting the destruction of sovereign nations. In the US the socialist Biden regime is destroying our nation with illegal migrants and violence in ways never seen in order to buy Democrat votes. Most Democrats and RINOs are wholly given over to dishonesty, lies, chaos, violence and lawlessness while the corporate media protects that agenda. This is not unique to America, but occurs also in Canada, Australia and all over Europe. It’s as if government leaders assemble in chambers to foment wickedness and then defend their evils as good works. And every true Christian needs to understand that the evils of government are coming for them. You will not be exempt. You will not be raptured pre-trib. You’re a target marked for destruction. Our families, our finances, our resources are all marked for destruction.

As true born again faithful followers of Christ in the midst of this crooked and perverse world, ours is the privilege and honor to remain strong in our faith to Christ and endure to the end that we receive the crown of life and prize of Christ unto eternal life. That fight will increasingly be more difficult as this unbelieving world’s hatred rages against all things God and His Christ. In this end-time battle, (and yes, it’s a battle) we must fight the good fight of faith, not a fight with weapons of man but a fight in the spiritual realm “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand” (Eph. 6:12–13).

In this end-time fight of true faith in Christ, it’s important that we employ the weapons given to us by God and not the weapons of this world, for the Spirit commanded “For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ” (2 Cor. 10:3–5). It is not evil men and women who are our enemy, but the evil spirit(s) within them. In that regard it’s important to remember the Spirit said, God “desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus” (1 Tim. 2:4–5). Remembering God’s desire, then, the Spirit urgently said, “Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God” (2 Cor. 5:20). That’s our mandate.

Here now, are the secret weapons of this battle to which only true believers have access. “Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints” (Eph. 6:14–18). God provided for us mighty spiritual arms.

Spiritually discerning our enemies is important. While God commanded us not to wage war as the world does, (as in warring in the affairs of other nations’ business) that doesn’t mean that if some wicked person comes to your home for the purpose of harming you or your family that you let that person’s evil have its way. No, in Christ we are commanded to provide for our family and home. The Holy Spirit said, “But if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially for those of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever” (1 Tim. 5:8). Providing for one’s own family and household isn’t limited to spiritual and physical provision, but includes also the spiritual and physical protection as well which is altogether different from one pledging allegiance to any nation, then waging war against another nation just because the government of another nation is adverse to our own. The Spirit commanded “that you also aspire to lead a quiet life, to mind your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you” (1 Thess. 4:11). [My bold emphasis] That means provision and protection for one’s family.

Jesus, speaking to His disciples and by extension us, said “When I sent you without money bag, knapsack, and sandals, did you lack anything? So they said, ‘Nothing.’ Then He said to them, ‘But now, he who has a money bag, let him take it, and likewise a knapsack; and he who has no sword, let him sell his garment and buy one … So they said, ‘Lord, look, here are two swords.’ And He said to them, ‘It is enough’” (Luke 22:35–38). The implied meaning is clear that those two swords were intended, not for waging war with other nations, but for personal and familial protection. Love for God acts to protect self and family not letting evil to have its way over it.

Now looking at yet another element of our enemies that will surprise many because the church rejects this subject, but to its own peril – note this truth yet to come. Barring physical death, we will see this world inundated with non-redeemable beings. It’s Jesus’ promise of “as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be” (Matt. 24:37). That warning calls one to investigate “the days of Noah” which reveals non-redeemable beings called “giants”, also the “Nephilim”, the offspring of fallen angels when they “came in to the daughters of men and they bore children to them. Those were the mighty men who were of old, men of renown” (Gen. 6:4). Similar non-redeemable beings are returning to raise fear, havoc, violence and destruction. They are being summoned even now by the violence, hatred and evil perpetrated against humanity by evil men and women working to usher in the New World Order. But I, for one, will not hesitate to use any force available to me, including high-powered big-game weapons, to defend against those ungodly beings when they appear and if they threaten me or my family and loved ones.

My new book “ON EAGLES’ WINGS” with the subtitle “God’s Call, Your Response, Your Life Journey, Through The Tribulation, Until The Rapture” reveals many daily and end-time truths of great importance that you will never hear from your organized evangelical church leadership. Let God’s word and not traditions of men guide your beliefs of truth, of faith, and of the end-times.
