We live in deceptive end-times of nuclear war threats, wickedness, genocide and violence in fulfillment of biblical end-time prophecy, and what you hold as the truth has never been more important. Wars, violence, revolts and rebellions are evil because they serve only the Devil; it’s all anti-Christ. The Holy Spirit said of true believers “For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ” (2 Cor. 10:3–5). [My bold emphasis] But many are now exchanging God’s word for national idolatry.
The Son of God said “My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, My servants would fight, so that I should not be delivered to the Jews; but now My kingdom is not from here” (John 18:36). That’s God’s word to all true believers, for neither is the kingdom we seek of this world, but we look with spiritual eyes and faithful hearts to the city New Jerusalem “whose builder and maker is God” (Heb. 11:10). Fighting wars that kill, maim and brutalize are of the Devil who “does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy” (John 10:10). Death and destructions are the fruits of war, not lasting peace as proven by the record of world history. And furthermore “the wrath of man does not produce the righteousness of God” (James 1:20).
Anti-Christ spiritual travesty.
For the exception of a few Christian denominations, the 16th Century Protestant Reformation failed to eradicate the wicked spirit of “death to enemies”, inherited from Roman Catholicism. Popes summarily slaughtered those who didn’t convert to Catholicism. That same spirit is seen in reformer John Calvin who had Michael Servetus executed in Geneva, Switzerland because Servetus disagreed with Calvin about the Trinity. That same spirit remains in many evangelical denominations and professing believers to this day. Yet, many professing believers in Jesus hold the “death to enemies” belief saying that they’re led by the Holy Spirit. Nonsense! It’s that same spirit that controls Zionists who adhere to the dictates of unbelieving Israel who still holds to the “death to enemies” evil spirit. Today, that enemy is Iran. And Israel has categorically dictated its desires of death to her enemy and US government leaders, inspired by deceived Zionist advisors, have launched war against Iran. And as a direct result many thousands were and are being killed.
Anyone seeking to justify participation in wars has stepped into Satan’s camp. Wars solve absolutely nothing, in fact they only serve to create death and destruction. So what’s the role of the true believer in the midst of warring nations? The Scripture is very clear: “Therefore ‘Come out from among them And be separate, says the Lord. Do not touch what is unclean, And I will receive you’” (2 Cor. 6:17). Tensions between this wicked world and God’s Kingdom are very great. In that context and with God’s help “Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places” (Eph. 6:11–12). Thus we overcome the Devil’s snare.
This is so important because “as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment, so Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many. To those who eagerly wait for Him He will appear a second time for salvation” (Heb. 9:27–28); “we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad” (2 Cor. 5:10); “And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire” (Rev. 20:15). Please consider this: “On the Day of Judgement will you have an advocate? In this world only a foolish person would come before a judge in a court of law without totally qualified legal counsel, an advocate to speak to the judge in their defense. On that great Day of Judgment, only those who have Christ as their Advocate will be saved.
A real life example.
The Lord blessed my wife and me with our successful structural steel fabrication and erection business which we ended after 30+ years. Many wonderful memories remain from that business. But there were about three occasions that required legal counsel in seeking justice from a court of law. And for the record we were pleased with the excellent attorney we had. On one occasion, seeking to bear witness to Jesus Christ, I said to our attorney “I would be foolish coming before the judge without qualified legal counsel and I thank God that you’re here to make our case in the hearing of the judge.” I also said “This is similar to how it will be on the Day of Judgment when we stand before the Judge of all the Earth. And on that Day who will be our advocate to speak on our behalf? There is only One Advocate qualified to stand before Almighty God and plead our case of salvation before God’s High Court, and His name is the Lord Jesus Christ!”
Make time for introspection.
I ask you, “Do you know whether or not your Advocate will be Jesus Christ on the great Day of Judgment? Are your sins under the blood of Christ who suffered, died and rose again after three days and lives forevermore seated at the right hand of God the Father? Do you have confidence by grace through faith that you’ve been cleansed from your sins and unbelief? If not, this is your opportunity to make certain that you know. For “if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation” (Rom. 10:9–10). It’s like the Holy Spirit said at Pentecost, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit” (Acts 2:38). True believers are known by their faith and faithfulness, not war. “It is Christian nationalism—a counterfeit religion that wraps political power in religious language and calls it holy. It is idolatry of the nation masquerading as devotion to God.” (Source) Amen!
I remember as an adult in my late 30s, speaking to my grandfather about our certainty of being saved unto eternal life, he would always respond with “Well, we hope we are saved.” I was very saddened by his uncertainty of salvation. He was raised in the Old Order Amish tradition which tied many unbiblical burdens on those adhering to that tradition. Salvation unto eternal life is not something we can only hope for, but can know of a certainty in Christ. Here’s how we can know: “’You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘You shall love you neighbor as yourself.’ On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets” (Matt. 22:37–40). And God’s Spirit also said “Love does no harm to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law” (Rom. 13:10). And our neighbor includes our enemies, Matt. 5:44–45.
America and multiple other nations are spiraling headlong into nuclear WWIII. We have many warmongers in government making decisions of death. It seems many of those don’t care how much death and destruction they create as long as they get what they want. Thus, it’s called the end-times. The spirit of humility and restraint is largely gone and it’s because the majority want their own will without consideration for the commands of Christ. As true believers may that not be said of us at the Day of Judgment. Rather, let’s live life in such a way as to have confidence we will hear the Lord Jesus Christ say: “Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord” (Matt. 25:21). Jesus Christ will be the only qualified Advocate in God’s High Court on that great Day.
If not all out WWIII, then at a minimum domestic violence is set to kill many globally. Don’t let yourself be dragged into participation with it, but remember that you have been bought with the precious blood of Christ and that we are to emulate Him in word and deed with the help of the Holy Spirit. I believe if we as true believers pray the blood of Christ over our children, over our grandchildren and over our homes, then “He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, “He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in Him I will trust. Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the perilous pestilence … A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand; but it shall not come near you. Only with your eyes shall you look, and see the reward of the wicked” (Psa. 91:1–3, 7–8). That requires that our life bears fruit to God’s Kingdom, John 15:5, then we are confident that whatever we ask in true faith we receive.
We cannot have one foot in God fearing faith while the other is entangled in the ungodly affairs of this warring world. God said “And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him” (Col. 3:17). Before we do or act in any regard, think about that command. If it cannot be done in the name of the Lord Jesus, and in thanks to God the Father, then you have your answer, “Don’t do it.” Seek the shelter of the Most High, take refuge under His wings. Entrust yourself and your loved ones to His care, love, mercy and grace. There is nothing in this world worth going to physical war over, or being entangled in civil violence. And pray earnestly for those who ignorantly resort to this world’s ungodly wrath.
Not only will we hear of wars and rumors of wars, but “false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect” (Matt. 24:24). Even the elect, meaning every believer of Christ, if not guarded and grounded by the truth of the gospel of Christ will be susceptible to being deceived and swept to perdition. That’s how serious this really is. Now is the time to put on the whole armor of God and discern the truth, not when the battle is raging. Decide now how you will respond to the wrath of Satan and this corrupt evil world. Now is the time to be clear minded and to live such a holy life as to know that our qualified Advocate is Jesus Christ, and also pursue “holiness, without which no one will see the Lord” (Heb. 12:14).
My second book “ON EAGLES’ WINGS” explains in detail how to know Christ and find God’s Bozrah sheepfold of safety and place of provision for the last 1,260 days of the great tribulation.
